We went on winter, with snow. The waterfall isn't very spectacular, I think I would'nt go on summer, but the trail is very beautiful, and the snow and the ice makes everything more interesting. The waterfall was frozen, and there were some shapes really interesting. The whole path goes through and impressive forest, full of really tall trees. The path is very easy, but in winter, it is a little bit slippery because of the ice. Is a very popular trail, so there's a lot of people stepping on the snow and, therefore, there is ice on some parts of the path. We were equiped with trekking sticks and this helped us very much not to fall, but local people were walking without any help and they moved really fast, they are used to snow :) This isn't a circular trail, but you can turn it into one. There are two paths to arrive to the waterfall, we left the car in the street Urlatoarei, beetween Poiana Tapului and Busteni and we started the trail on the top of the street. Once in the waterfall, the trail continues and arrives to Busteni, near to the Cable Car. From there to the car there were 15-20 minutes walking near the road number 1. It was a great experience!

Cascada Urlătoarea din Bușteni este una dintre cele mai spectaculoase și accesibile căderi de apă din Munții Bucegi, un loc unde natura pare să vorbească prin vuietul apei care se prăvălește cu forță peste stânci. Situată într-un decor sălbatic, la o altitudine de aproximativ 1100 de metri, cascada își face auzită prezența de la distanță – de aici și numele său, „Urlătoarea”, inspirat de sunetul puternic, aproape mistic, care răsună printre versanți. Apele sale limpezi se adună din izvoarele ce se preling pe versantul Jepilor și cad în trepte abrupte, formând o cascadă înaltă de aproximativ 15 metri. În zilele însorite, razele de lumină pătrund printre copaci, ating stropii în suspensie și creează mici curcubee efemere, ca niște bijuterii suspendate în aer. Drumul până la cascadă, ce pornește din Bușteni, este un traseu ușor de parcurs, de aproximativ o oră, străbătând păduri de brazi și fagi ce îmbrățișează poteca în verdele lor umbros. Pe măsură ce te apropii, vuietul apei devine tot mai intens, iar aerul se umple de prospețimea stropilor reci. Cascada Urlătoarea nu este doar o atracție naturală, ci și un loc de liniște, unde poți asculta vocea munților și te poți reconecta cu frumusețea simplă, dar profundă, a naturii.

A beautifull waterfall and a relaxing place. You can take a sandwich from home kr buy some snacks from the local guy right there. There are 2 ways to get there, one from Poiana Țapului which is on a forest road and more relaxing. The 2nd one is from Bușteni on a smaller path and more challenging. We got up from the forest road and descended to Bușteni. Take your garbage back home!

Nice place, but very crowded. This year, I was disappointed because some salesman was installed there, near the cascade with some food/drink products. Who would like to go there and buy ... anything? The place is 30 minutes away, walk through forest from a Penny. If you really want to eat/drink something, buy from that supermarket. Going at this place I would like to enjoy the beauty of place, not the salesman business. By the way, I don't think this salesman has anykind of authorization to sell something, and also I think the local authorities should...
