#openairmuseum#myfavourite#lovely#shocking#varied#wonderful#agriculturemachines#oldtelephones#stoves#etc I simply adore this open air museum which is one of the best Hungarian museum in the middle of Romania.( and not only from Hungarian museums also from Romanian ones too). Usually is open all day until 8 o'clock in the evening, just you need to go forward and look for one of curators who lives in the backyard of the museum. This museum has everything from history, to ethnography, from old stoves to still working old agriculture machines, old radios and telephones from 1920. Old traditional houses etc. Usually people are shocked of its diversity and certainly the good humour of the curator who literally growned up there. For me has a special meaning too, because it was founded in the year of 1973 when I was born. So, I highly recommend this place. Usually people come to this place for half an hour, and stay at...

A surprising museum about how industrial development influenced the way of doing agriculture. A century ago, using diesel power machineries, the local farmers benefited from the newest technologies to harvest their crops.

Since always, the radio informed and entertained the masses. You may discover what was the cutting edge technology to listen to radio stations from Moscow, Praga, Budapest or Bucharest.

Dictators spoke to people using it and later the radio brought The Voice of freedom for the Eastern countries. Radio Free Europe and the Voice of America changed mentalities using these radio boxes.

Many of it are still working today, being able to play a csárdás in these traditional houses heated at their time by iron chimneys works of art casted in Hunedoara, Calan or Resita...

The Pál Hasszmann Museum is a hidden gem that beautifully captures the essence of rural Hungarian culture and history. Set in a charming village, the museum offers a fascinating collection of artifacts, traditional tools, and furniture that transport you back in time. The exhibits are well-curated, providing a deep insight into the region's craftsmanship and way of life. The museum's tranquil setting and knowledgeable staff make it a delightful experience for history enthusiasts and curious travelers alike. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to explore Hungary's rich...

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! A special place, full of good vibes. The ex-mansion's courtyard was transformed into an open museum. The owner is very nice and talkative. - Here you can see many collections such as old steam engines and old steam agricultural machinery and tools, an impressive diversity of stoves, and lots of carts/carriages/wagons In the central meadow you can find old rustic houses reflecting the way old peasants lived. Also there is a large collection of old radios and telephones. - The main (central) building hosts another exposition of cultural objects, office supplies, household items, military equipment from the WW's and a collection of letters from the romanian front. Also, here you can pay for your admission tickets, buy postcards and other books. RECOMAND! Un loc deosebit, plin de surpirze si inedit. Curtea fostului conac este transformata in muzeu in aer liber.

It is a wonderful collection of objects that were used in the past (like engines, old radios, cast iron stoves, szeckler houses etc), the most impressive from what I have seen. The engines are very well maintained and two of them were even turned on. We enjoyed a few hours (2,5 hours) in the large garden where the museum is located. The mansion holds a large collection of things produced by the artisans in the village. The host was friendly and allowed us to remain in the garden even after 5 pm.
