The place is renowned because of Mircea Dinescu, a Romanian cultural figure. Everything about the place itself was barely tolerable. The waitresses looked like they just came from work on the corn field, no uniform, all rather dirty, no words of welcome. We waited about 40 min for somebody to come to our table, after asking 3 times the ladies who were taking orders and nobody even looked at me. Finally we were brought the order of another table and after 5 mins they took it back (first we thought they might offer water on the house to everybody) and luckily we didn't touch it. The waitress who took our order did not even know the 4 dishes available, we saw on another table some cabbage and she said it might be from yesterday, but it turned out it was on the menu alright... After we got our own water, there were flies in the ice cubes. We took a short walk while waiting for the food and the area was really strange. Stray dogs everywhere, dirt and random cooking items left everywhere. The bathroom was not labled at all and we ended up knocking on a guest door in search for it . When we finally found it, there was trash all over the place and no toilet paper. The food was actually good, nothing to say there, but nothing out of this world. The check at the end was written on a normal paper, nothing like a proper invoice, which makes me suspect how much are they even submitting for taxation from all the sales. All in all, the 10 Eur per person (around 50 RON with food and water) was way too much for the worst service in the world. I seriously have no words to describe how awful that was, i think even some random people on the street would have done a better job at serving with a smile, talking about the food and making people...
Read moreAs a true animal lover, I found this place to be my piece of heaven. Nature and tranquility right on the Danube shore, with friendly staff and friendly dogs and cats roaming around and making everything even more beautiful with their presence. If they feel that you love them, dogs will accompany you everywhere, happy and playful because they are fed and loved and taken care of by the staff, so they are not famished or pushy or asking for food. Of course, they will not refuse a piece of nice cheese or meat or any other treat you might offer. But speaking of food, it is deliciously true Romanian traditional food, accompanied by the best natural juices and wines. A truly great place, it recharged me with optimism and sheer simple happiness. So I highly recommend this place to animal lovers, who should visit and maybe even take home one of the amazing dogs and cats, if you fall in love with any of them. They are so friendly and welcome. I would have taken home at least 3 doggies and 2 kittens ❤ but it was a motorcycle trip for us. I will come back for...
Read moreDin pacate, nu pot acorda acestei locatii decat o stea, intrucat as fi vrut sa-i acord 1/4 stele !
