I visited Cheile Turzii, and I was amazed by its beauty and impressive nature.
The place offers various hiking routes of different difficulty levels, and I decided to choose the path leading to the panoramic viewpoint (46.56449681537717, 23.67642999099534) as I had limited time, and it was the perfect route for a walk with children.
The route, approximately 3.5 km long, takes you through forests, bridges, and streams, adding pleasant natural elements to the journey. The difficulty of the route was easy, allowing us to enjoy the surrounding environment and beautiful views of the cliffs.
Cheile Turzii has spots where you can engage in rock climbing, either professionally or with an instructor. This provides a unique opportunity for adventure enthusiasts to test their skills and admire the breathtaking views of the cliffs.
There is also a cafe at the parking area (which is paid), where you can grab a bite to eat and relax...
Read moreVery nice for a walk, i have been there with my girlfriend and we walked a hundred times on the river track, now was the first time doing the circuit track and get to the cross, the view and track was amazing, it was winter and still breathtaking views. It's a little hard in the first half but it's easier from the middle of the track to the cross. The track has the red dot marking and you can start it from the "Cabana Cheile turzii" parking lot between 2 buildings. You have a parking lot near all the tracks, food trucks, restaurants and a zipline for adrenalin lovers. There is no entering fee on the tracks. The river track take about 2 hours to get to the other side, the cross on the mountain track takes about 1 hour and a half till you arrive at the cross, it all depends on your speed. The tracks can be easy to medium. There is no water or ilumination...
Read moreGreat place to spend the day treading the cliffs. It's taken good care of so it's always clean. The entrance usually has a small fee in order to maintain it, but make sure you bring cash, the only ATMS are kilometers away in the nearest town. The path on the cliff is really jagged and narrow, but big enough for two people to pass eachother with no issues. Make sure you bring the right footwear, because of all the people walking and water erosion, although the rock is jagged, it's still very smooth and easy to slip and twist your ankles. There's cables to hold onto in the more narrower areas, but nothing on the cliffside while you have paved road in very few areas. The bridges are new and stable so overall there's not much to worry about. The whole zone is gorgeous, if you can take your eyes off the ground but it's a great place to deal with your...
