The trail starts from the village of Tureni, where Racilor creek penetrates the narrow cliffs. Walk past the old watermill, not used anymore, and then through a quarry, between the walls, continue along the stream. The trail requires a lot of attention and it is recommended to do it in dry weather and when the level of the water is low. Although short, the gorge has a special charm. Walk along the stream, through lush vegetation, on one side or the other. There is only one place where the trail leaves the stream and temporarily goes up on the right bank to by-pass a small waterfall. There is also a more difficult section where the trail climbs the cliffs on the left bank and where there used to be a long cable. Get out of the gorge and reach a group of cottages near a small lake, where a gravel road leads you to the village of Copaceni through a scenic area popular with picnic...

Beautiful area with a cool via ferrata route that took me about 3 hours out and back at a leisurely pace. I only saw one other person on cables while I was there. The river was flowing pretty well and quite loud at times, which I enjoyed. I stumbled upon an unfortunate fox who met his fate seemingly unpreparedly, poor guy. At the beginning/end of the tail, there is an awesome little restaurant with the coldest, most delicious draft beer you’ll ever have. The mici was quite excellent as well and best yet, all while on their grass lawn amidst the tall spires of the surrounding gorge. A beautiful place to kick back and relax after the...
