The area has a great potential. The Amber that was extracted in that area is unique in the world, unfortunately even though the guide was well prepared (though it was available only in the local language), the pieces presented were either copies, either pictures, but only a few were actual extraction from that mine. There is also a souvenir shop, but you cannot find pieces of amber that were extracted there and you begin questioning yourself on how much amber is in those amber products. Never the less if you are nearby and you either speak the local language either you have someone with you that could help you with the translation, then you should visit it. I spent nearly 100 ron on two necklaces that were supposedly made out of amber and after i got home i tried to test the electrostatic property of this fossil and surprise ... it didn't work.
