Golubac Cave — Attraction in Copăceni

The name is wrong, the right name of the cave is Gaura cu Muscă, or the "Cave of the Flies". And there’s actually two caves.

Very interesting caves, one right by the parking place and another 10-20 meters higher - there’s a path from the middle of the parking lot to the first and south end to the other. Be careful not to walk too high for the other, the path does a 180 degree turn to the left soon after leaving the parking lot.

The caves are wonderful and can be easily entered. The first one is small and mossy, the second one is 300 meters long but dangerous and should not be teeters beyond the immediate vicinity of the entrance and maybe the upper branch. The lower branch has low to deep water and muddy bottoms.

Peștera despre care găsiți multe informații este un loc deosebit de frumos chiar dacă până în toamna anului 2018 nu era pus un indicator acolo care să te ghideze.Adevarul este că mai trecusem de câteva ori și urcasem deasupra de fântână dar nu am mers după marcaj mai sus. Am urcat totuși după marcaj anul trecut după ce ne povestise o familie din partea locului care-și adusese nepotul la Peștera Gaura cu Muscă de care era legată Legenda lui Iorgovan. Ceea ce am văzut era destul de frumos. Locul cu numeroase deschideri prin care se zărea cerul sau Dunărea văzută de sus, malul sârbesc unde Cetatea din depărtare se numește Golubăț, un loc special pe care l-am vizitat prima oară în 2009 și apoi după 9 ani. Totul a fost pur și simplu deosebit de frumos. Cazare/restaurante puteți găsi doar spre Moldova Nouă sau spre Șvinița dar apa de la fântâna de la Peșteră am băut-o, delicioasă și foarte rece. Am fost dezamăgiți pentru că turiștii care avuseseră mâncare la pachet uitaseră să-și adune gunoiul. DN 57 este practicabil chiar și iarna, mai greu când viscolește dar are o calitate bună comparativ cu altele din Banat pe care...

Worth stopping by if you're heading this direction. There's a clearing at the side of the road where this little "cave" is located. Easy to find, but the access is a bit steep, so watch out.
