Lacul Cuejdel — Attraction in Gârcina

A relatively new, naturally formed lake, situated in the middle of a wonderful natural reserve. You can reach the location by car, going north-west of the Cuejdiu village. Once you reach the first intersection you should see a barrier blocked road and the start of a hike marked by a red target symbol. The hike is around 3km to the middle of the lake, not too difficult but also not a stroll in the park (40-60 minutes one way, depending on your form). Lacul Cuiejdel, Neamt, 🇧🇪

Numit si Lacul Crucii (datorita formei sale), Lacul Cuiejdel este cel mai mare lac de baraj natural Romania si apreciat de o serie de specialisti si ca cel mai mare din Europa. Lacul se gaseste la altitudinea de 669 m, se intinde pe mai bine de 13,5 ha, adancimea medie estimata este de 20 m, adancimea maxima estimata este de peste 16 m. Lacul se afla la aproximativ 30 km de Piatra Neamt, dincolo de satul Cuiejdiu. Lacul s-a format in mai multe etape pe cursul mijlociu al paraului Cuiejdel (afluent al raului Cuiejdiu), la baza Culmii Munticelu in urma unor surpari si alunecari succesive de teren.
