The short version would sound like this: pleasant, different and enjoyable.
If you are traveling through Hunedoara county, near Deva city, you can find something out out of the ordinary, almost unique. It is a pleasant and almost hidden, but well maintained garden.
This place is about at 10 to 15 minutes drive from the Deva city. It is situated near a hill which it gives the garden a rather unique placement ( as far as I'm concerned). This is also an advantage.
At the entrance, there is a parking lot which should be able to accommodate on gravel about 30 cars and about 20-30 cars on the . . . grass/ lawn. Before entering the garden there are some stalls that sell souvenirs ( small fridge magnets 1€ a piece, key chairs 1€ a pice, etc ). There also was a stall that sells some sweet stuff like: homemade chocolate ( we call them "batoane" ), halvah - I hope I wrote it correctly, some loli pops, etc.
After passing the stalls, you enter the first part of the garden, which is a nice gravel road, a small sidewalk and a prototype, or should I say a mini garden. After about 50 meters, you'll find the cashier, which will request you to pay the entrance fee. The entrance fee is 10 Ron ~ 2,2€/ person. You can also have a wedding/ other event photoshoot, but that will cost you 250 ron ~ 51€ euros.
To the left, part of the garden is built on the side of the hill. It has various sidewalks, that intertwine with each other. In front you can see a green meadow, with perfect trimmed bushes, a central sidewalk and two fountains with water. To the right, there is the gravel sidewalk, some benches and a cupola of sorts.
The garden has lots of trees, coniferous ones and some other type. This is a big plus, because it adds to the beauty and attraction of the place. It also has roses and other flowers. I have to say that the place feels soothing and it is pretty quiet.
You can visit this garden, wholly, in about 30 minutes at a slow pace. On top of that you have to add the time spent on admiring it, or admiring the moment or taking pictures.
I do recommend this place if you are passing by and want a...

Read moreThe beauty of the gardens was over shadowed by the killing of an injured stray dog by some man with a rifle!! No sooner had we paid the admittance when this man came out of the nearby building in a hurry with a rifle and an agitated German Shepherd dog. Later on my wife could hear the cries of a dog in pain and saw in a nearby field a poor stray dog being chased by the much larger Shepherd with the man close behind! That ruined the entire visit for us. My wife was too physically upset and after walking just a few minutes we left.
No way would we condone or ignore this cruelty by continuing our walk in the gardens. We were sorry that our money went to them. So despite any beauty that gardens may have it is stained by the act of cruelty we witnessed. Apparently the beauty is only a money making facade that hides the evil in the staff there. With that said, NO we will never return or recommend anyone to go...
