Gabor Bethlen Castle — Attraction in Ilia

This Red Bastion of Prince Gabriel Bethlen where this great prince of Transylvania was born in 1580. It is a single surviving remnant of the Renaissance castle in the former Illye (Ilia) estate. I made also some pictures of the very damaged Classicist styled house from the 19th century which belongs to the Baron Bornemissza family. Now this property belongs to Böjte Csaba foundation ( he is a Franciscan monk)who helps many kids without parents, and they organize different events at this place of Marosillye ,called Ilia in Romanian language. Beautifull medieval mansion and park , restored and well kept , close to the A1 Highway , no parking , nobody around , the inside of the mansion is not open and there was no one around to buy tickets from and to offer us some sort of relevant information .

This place became infamous as an employee from this museum cruelly tortured a dog and left it dying in 2021.
