Bolboci Lake — Attraction in Moroeni

3 stars for the lake, 5 stars for the road leading to the lake from Sinaia. Absolutely gorgeous views. Were lucky to visit during autumn and experience the red and yellow leaves at the bottom of the hills and the melting snow tops trees at the very top. This place is exactly like an oasis to your busy trekking trails. Date of trip - 2nd May, 2021. Followed the road from Sinaia, and wanted to reach Peştera Ialomicioarei. We did not expect to find the lake to be frozen, but it was a pleasant surprize. We had beautiful weather - 17° C, sunny and low wind. If you want to get to Peştera Ialomicioarei, be careful, as the only good roads are blocked due to snow, and we had only one back road, full of potholes, mud and we couldn't follow it.
