We went during the week, so it was rather empty, no wait line, the staff was really nice and we had a good time. The food is ok. It's a big place so maybe each "desk" could have some water (to sell to the customers) would have been great. We went through the adventure park (tree climbing?). It was fun. There is a lot of space for kids to play with slides, swings etc. The restaurant is nice and the food is good. You can have a nice walk through the forest if you're not feeling the need to try anything. The decore is military style and I really think they did a good job with this; they have a lot of military trucks and other vehicles throughout the park. Comparison vs Edenland: (I'm 1.8m) PRO: the safety line is not in your space. It's close to you, you're safe, but you don't get to rub your body on it because it's too close to you. In Edenland it was always where my under arm is, and there was always a stress that if I would slip I would get a bruise. The tyrolean(?) routes were easy, medium and a bit above medium, but not hard (eg. black route in Edenland). To improve: in Edenland they have a carabine called zaza (I think) and this you basically cannot remove from the zip line. You need to pass it on to the next through a special mechanism. This is an extra safety precaution and besides the fact that it sometimes gets annoying, you know that even if you're an idiot you cannot fall. In Arsenal Parc You have 2 carabins and you need to be more careful. Also in Edenland they have a simple carabine in your equipment to hold the tyrolean mechanism and the other carabins (when you're on the ground) and I think it's a nice little touch and gives you more freedom in movement. All in all it was a...
Read moreAlthough this place sounded like an excellent idea, especially as I like military vehicles and artillery, I must say that I was mostly disappointed by this place. You must buy a card at the entrance, charge it and use it later to buy any activity. Later, if you manage to find someone at the place where you can actually do the activity, you will have to present the check from the first cashier. It's an unnecessary complication and a waste of time and money, especially if you have no more credit.
Furthermore, the place looks mostly deserted. If you walk more than 5 minutes in any direction, you'll end up with dirty pavements, collapsed trees on the road, dirty and vandalized exhibits, and also old and desolated buildings with broken windows. It looks more like a post-apocalyptic setup than an adventure park.
The activities are also pretty lame, or at least the ones that we tried. The minigolf courses are mostly dirty, making them repetitive and annoying. The bikes that you rent are not very well maintained and, as said before, you don't feel too comfortable on them due to lack of park maintenance. The bow shooting is nice if you manage to find someone to give you the bow, but you have to pay 40lei for 11 arrows... Speaking of which, the prices are extremely high, regardless of the chosen activity.
Last but not least, there was the food. Although not very expensive as the activities, it was mediocre at best, both in terms of taste and quality.
Overall, considering the price that we had to pay, it ended up being an experience that we will clearly not repeat, let alone recommend to anyone. There's a lot of work to be done if they want to put it back on track. At the moment, it's a...
Read moreAmazing place.
The most impressive part of my stay was the Aqua Park with a total of 5 water slides(2 indoors and 3 outdoors) and 4 swimming pools (1 indoors). Also, the nearby zipline is the longest one in the country, but it is only accessible for ages 18 and up.
The Adventure Park has a wide variety of obstacle courses with an increasing difficulty, accessible for people of all ages. Definetly worth giving it a try, especially if you've never done an obstacle course before.
Throught the park one can find a variety of decomissioned tanks, personel carriers, aircraft and more (a steam locomotive). Also, there are numerous amenities both outdoors (mini golf course, tennis courts, giant outdoor chess, bicicle/running tracks through the forest) and indoors (2 poker tables, 3 pool tables, an air hockey table, 2 darts boards).
The restaurant offers a slightly less varied menu and there may at times be quite a waiting time. In spite of this, it is absolutely worth it for the great food. I especially recommend the burgers.
There is also a gun range both for Airsoft and real weapons, though I didn't get a chance to try it out.
In conclusion, my stay at the Arsenal Park was definetly worth the cost and I would...
