I had a great experience visiting this national park , it's the best way of finding what Roumainia has to offer to it's visitators , here you have the chance the local fauna made of bears (i didint saw one but theoretically they are here),lynx's, , deers , squirrels and if you are lucky you might see on the peaks even the black goat an endangered species wich was extinct in Roumainia but it was bringed back .After a roughly 2 hours and a half you are reaching the Iezer lake , if you want to continue your hiking, there is another 1 hour hike up to the Pietrosu peak at 2303m altitude ! I've been to vf. Pietrosu peak and it was awesome.

Until the first cabin the ascent is very easy, also off-road cars cand go to that point but it is not open for public only some workers are going by car there.

After reaching the first cabin you will imedidiatly reach lake Iezer and some awesome creeks where you can cool down your feet :D

Then you will have another one and a half hours of climbing to the top with...

Awesome place with gorgeous landscapes and panoramas! This time of the year (June) is especially worth to visit for the rhododendron blossomed fields/mountainsides. Cascada Cailor, Tăul Știol are defenetely worth visiting. Once you get there go for a hike on Gârgălău peak and if you are brave and love conquering peaks don't avoid Pietrosul Rodnei peak. The entire Rodnei ridge is awesome and the panoramas you get to see are...
