I had a great experience visiting this national park , it's the best way of finding what Roumainia has to offer to it's visitators , here you have the chance the local fauna made of bears (i didint saw one but theoretically they are here),lynx's, , deers , squirrels and if you are lucky you might see on the peaks even the black goat an endangered species wich was extinct in Roumainia but it was bringed back .After a roughly 2 hours and a half you are reaching the Iezer lake , if you want to continue your hiking, there is another 1 hour hike up to the Pietrosu peak at 2303m altitude ! Bring good hiking boots , a few snacks , plenty of water ( you can refill your empty bottle's on your way to the lake , on your path you will see on the left side a fresh water stream). Until the first cabin the ascent is very easy, also off-road cars cand go to that point but it is not open for public only some workers are going by car there.
After reaching the first cabin you will imedidiatly reach lake Iezer and some awesome creeks where you can cool down your feet :D
