The views are indeed amazing, the way up is a bit steap, so take it easy. If you have some prior training, it shouldn't give you any sence of dizziness. The First section of the trail, you just walk some steps on the "Royal Path " , and fallow the blue mark, the second part there will be a crossroad, don't leave the road, the third section there will be a point in which you make a right and go up, a trail which is also paved..The road is very good, there is the posibility to cut through the woods to shorten the descent but it's a bit tiring. When you reach Poiana Stanei there is this big clearing with Point Piatra Mare showing in the backround,Jepii Mici, Cross Caraiman, Bucegi mountains. I assure you it is Breathtaking. After entering the heart of the crossway there is a half eaten sign pointing you to another trail, downwards to the village of Poiana Tapului. I suggest you don't go that way!!!! The trail is kinda inaccesible, there are a lot of fallen trees, some of them having lost the 'red dot' path sign. I assume there was an avalanche in the late winter of 2020, maybe last year? I couldn t find details on the internet. But you should have in mind that the descent is pretty scary, dont let the claws of night...

Also be aware of bears , is their territory- it is indicated to travel with more people or in bigger groups . We were just two of us - but there were quite a lot of other tourists . We hike around noon . On the way back we made 35 min until the bottom of the track and another 25 min till...
Read moreLovely wild place. 30 min by car from Sinaia, 1h and something by foot. The road is accessible, remember this is a mountain/forest road so don't expect asphalt. From time to time it gets bumpy, just drive slowly or better yet, start walking. It's a gorgeous hike. At the moment there's no restaurant open so plan ahead. You will get hungry after the hike. If you get thirsty, there is a...
