Well known place where nature can show that can be an amazing artist. If you want to see beautiful landscape, this is one of the places from the world where you must go to visit toghether with your friends or family. You can get there by car on TransBucegi road very good (asphalt) near to Piatra Arsa olympic complex. Leave the car parked there and then by foot on trail to the Sphinx (40 minutes, aprox. 120 m level difference). Another way is by car to Pestera, leave the car parked there and then by trail to Sphinx 2 hours (aprox. 800 m level difference). You can get there also by cable cabin from Busteni (75 RON per person one trip) or from Pestera (60 RON per person one trip). Near to Sphinx is another place that must visit: Babele (The Old Ladies). If you get hungry or thirsty you can eat or drink something tasty at good prices at The old Ladies Chalet. If you need directions talk to the personnel from this chalet. They are mountain men, they are very well trained and they know always what you need to do. Try to do that trip in a sunny day and don't forget the sunglasses and solar...
Read moreA lot of guides tells you that this place is in Sinaia. Wich is semi true. If you don't want to hike a LOT don't take the gondola from Sinaia but from Busteni! I took the gondola from Sinaia and ended up hiking for four hours as I tought the Sphinx was close to that Gondola. I asked the ticket lady if it was possible to see the Sphinx from there and she answeres yes. I came unprepared with bad shoes and little water so I was exhausted after four hours hiking. Of course this was my bad with little research but however take the gondola from Busteni NOT Sinaia. It was a hike for 4 hours and 600 meters climb. The gondola from Busteni parked about 300 meters from the Sphinx😅 I took the gondola down to Busteni and had to take a taxi from there and to Sinaia to...
Read moreThe Sphinx is one of the most remarkable attractions in the Bucegi National Park.
It is a place of great beauty, sacred to many for its monumental presence, and an unforgettable experience to reach, especially by hiking the trails rather than taking the cable car.
The cable car is also a wonderful option, but walking the scenic paths surrounded by nature offers a deeper and more personal connection to this magical place.
I cannot recommend enough that anyone visiting should see these monuments and feel the true bond with Nature and the majestic Bucegi Mountains.
Good luck, and enjoy the beauty, for its legacy will forever live in the hearts and eyes of those who...
