We didn't do the whole walk just the one that takes you round by Rosslyn castle/chapel and along to Wallace cave. The car park is good size. The main car park has height of 2 metres or you can just park at the old works building car park. There is no electric car chargers. The paths are a mixture of grass and gravel and we're still very wet in some areas. The grass sections have a lot of nettles and brambles around ankle area. To get to the Wallace cave you go down a steep slope with steep drop at the side. When you get there for me it didn't feel like it was worth it and the walk back up was quite difficult to grip your feet. The Castle is a ruin but is still very impressive. As you walk towards the entrance, the wall is very low and has a sheer drop so be careful if you have adventourous kids. The views are really impressive out towards the glen. There is a private sign at the house of the castle and works sign up. You can walk round the outside of the castle to view more of the building, but the path is quite difficult and has lots of nettles. The castle could do with some information boards with how the castle looked and information of the history of it. We went by Rosslyn chapel but didn't go in. There is no toilets in the park. There is no food places either. There a few picnic tables about.

Amazing peaceful tranquillity escape from everyday rush of life. Fresh crispy air, amazing green paradise, refreshing springs and river across the glen. If you are a fan of historuc ruins, you will love it too. Perfect for families with children as this fairy glen has a plenty of places where to rest or to have a picnic lunch in the nature. Car park is just 100yards from the entrance and it's free! Plenty of information on the visitor boards and some leaflets too. Ideal place for morning or late afternoon sun lset walk. The light falls in between the trees and plays with the shadows in the wind. Tranquillity and peace.

If you're just wanting to have a country walk or wander, if you takes the kids or dog, fancy a wee picnic this is a great place. Like little surprises along the journey well you won't be disappointed. Like history plently boards telling you. Love horticulture then it's in abundance take an identification book or download an app. Try and find the 1815 carving. Paddle in the river esk. It's all there to do and see. But dont start fires. Pick up your dog mess and deposit in buckets. And clean up all your litter and bin it. Make the experience complete with minimal footprint.

In April this year, we descended into the quagmire that is the beautiful Roslyn (in?) Glen. Steep muddy slides only at this time of year I guess lead on to a lovely walk. Walking west at the end near the castle we crossed over the bridge on the river (raging torrent after recent heavy rainfall) and walked the path to the gunpowder factory site. Needless to say, we did not return through the glen but took the path up to the top walk which ends at the graveyard. We will return in the summer and update this review. Deffo a boot area!

Beautiful country park with plenty of parking spaces and a few picnic tables. The trails are well-maintained and offer some great views of Rosslyn Castle. Very peaceful along the river. Unfortunately, the castle bridge entrance was blocked off for renovations, but we will be back! All of the trails around the castle were so beautiful, but beware going after lots of rain. Trails can get really boggy, even with some of them having traction boards in the wetter areas.

Great area for walking. The car park is large, so no problem there. There are a number of paths to take, including a walk to Rosslyn Castle and Rosslyn Chapel. However I chose the walk to the Gunpowder Mill took me onto a pavement beside the road. I had to cross the hairpin bend on the road from the inside which was quite entertaining! Crossing back was much easier.
