It's worth the drive! Just make sure you book your visit online or via their phone line, and you'll have the experience quite different from the usual sightseeing. We had a young lady for a guide, and she's obviously in love with her job of looking after these animals. It is NOT a contact zoo, some serious scientific research is sometimes conducted there, but generally it's an animal sanctuary where moose, deer and boars are being treated, fed and then helped to return into the wild. We were almost eaten alive by the flies, but no regrets! They say in winter more animals come to the paddocks to claim food, so probably we c an try again when it's colder. An unforgettable thing, and lots of respect for how carefully they treat nature. Stepa the wild boar is my favourite now 🖤 but the moose and deer are also lovely. You can gently touch some of them through the fence, but remember it's not a zoo. If you go in summer, bring some...

What a beautiful place! I don't think tourists know about it because I didn't see any foreign tourists other than us "You need to walk about 1km "which is the BEST thing in the whole place." You will walk until you arrive at something like a farm where you can see the moose, elk, deer, and other animals, and you can feed them some carrots, "except the deer" The instructor doesn't speak English, so you probably will walk with a group of Russians and she will talk and explain only in Russian 😅. There is a lake after finishing the tour you must see it. And there are a lot of snails 🐌 so be careful when you walk.  Also as i understood you can book a hut and stay at the place "there is a play...
