Ostankino Television Tower — Attraction in Ostankinsky District

Ostankino Tower (Останкинская телебашня) is the tallest free-standing structure in Europe since more than 50 years, standing 540,1 meters over Moscow and the Oblast’s area (Москва и область). Marvelous opera of Structural Engineer Nikolay Vasilyevich Nikitin, it resembles a “Rocket” and held from 1967 to 1974 the world record as tallest structure, remaining nowadays one of the most evident symbols of the “Space Race” era between USSR Communism and American Capitalism (Empire States Building measures 443.2 meters); In my whole life I have never seen such a tight security protected tourists accessible facility and bare in mind the security personnel, as far as I have seen, does not speak a single word in English: Consider minimum 30 minutes to pass through the 3 Metal detector and X-Ray gates + passport control and reach the entrance of the tower: Once inside take the lift which in 42s brings you to an observation platform at 337 meters height w/ an exciting glass floor, an outdoor deck 3 meters above (Open only from April to October) and The “7th Heaven” restaurant which turns on its axis twice every 40 minutes so diners get the full panoramic view of Moscow; Prices to reach the 360º observation deck ranges from 700RUB (9,64EUR) to 1300RUB (17.89EUR) depending on your age, time and day of the week (Open 7/7, 10am-10pm); Being far from any Metro Station the best way to reach the tower is via Uber car (~920RUB=12.66 EUR); Tip: If you leave anything in the bag storage consider that the numbers on the cabinets are not sequential (meaning that there is not a unique number 4, 5, etc) but instead you have letters for the cabinets columns (A, B, C, etc.) so if you look for your cabinet remember both letter and...

Hello my dear friends, recently I just visited Russia, and I took over to this tourist attraction. I just want to say, it was one of the best experienced I've had.

I don't normally give 4 stars, but this 100% deserve it. I were up in the tower, and the view was just spectacular. It was a one in a lifetime experience, and I would do it again next time I visit Russia.

But let's talk about why it doesn't deserve "The Last Star".

The main reason were, because it was hard to get into. There were many people in line, and I understand that since everyone wanted to see the spectular view, but it just destroy the little moment, that you need to waste a whole day.

Here is my guide to tell you how to spend the day best, when visiting the Television Tower.

Firstly, get yourself some food. You don't want to spend in a line, with a hungry stomach. And secondly, remember to take a friend with you. That is the worst thing to ever do! I don't think I would have done it, without someone to talk with or just someone to enjoy the view with. It makes it 100, even 1000x better. But to clear it up. Have some food & have some good company that you can waste time with. And this is my suggestions to how to make it a greater place for tourists like me.

Build some more fastfood stands, like I mentioned before. FOOD is the key.

Στα   540 μέτρα   στέκεται   περήφανα  ο   υψηλότερος   πύργος  της  Ευρώπης   και  διαθέτει   20   ραδιοφωνικούς   και 20   τηλεοπτικούς  πομπούς. Eίναι  το   κύριο   σύμβολο της  ρωσικής   τηλεόρασης   και  ένα   σημαντικό   τουριστικό  αξιοθέατο   της πόλης   της  Μόσχας.  Αδιαμφισβήτητα,   μία  από   τις   κορυφαίες επιλογές  για  επίσκεψη,  ο   Πύργος   Οστάνκινο  έχει   να   προσφέρει  πάρα   πολλά,  πέραν  από  τις   επιβλητικές    διαστάσεις  του  και   τις ευκαιρίες   για  ανεπανάληπτες   selfie.  Είναι η μεγαλύτερη ανεξάρτητη κατασκευή στηνΕυρώπη.  Ο    σκοπός του   Πύργου   Ostankino   είναι   η   τηλεοπτική   και   ραδιοφωνική    εκπομπή.   Η   περιοχή   κάλυψης    τηλεοπτικού   σήματος   από   τον   τηλεοπτικό  πύργο   είναι   120   χλμ   και    καλύπτει   έδαφος   με   πληθυσμό  σχεδόν   20   εκατομμυρίων  κατοίκων.   Είναι   ο    Πύργος  της   Τηλεόρασης,  χάρη   στον   οποίο     πολίτες  της   πόλης    της   Μόσχας  και   της   περιοχής   της   Μόσχας   έχουν   τη   δυνατότητα   να   παρακολουθούν  αγαπημένα   τηλεοπτικά   κανάλια   και   να  ακούν   ραδιόφωνο.Αποτελείται   από  7   επίπεδα,   που βρίσκονται   σε   διαφορετικά  υψόμετρα   (147, 269, 350μ)   και  προσφέρει   μοναδική   θέα της   πόλης   που  κλέβει   την   ανάσα.  Μέρος   του   πατώματος  αποτελείται  από   ειδικά  ανθεκτικό   γυαλί,   με  αποτέλεσμα   οι   επισκέπτες  να   έχουν   το συναίσθημα   ότι   επιπλέουν  στον   αέρα,   ενώ  στο   έβδομο   επίπεδο  υπάρχει   το   εστιατόριο  «ο Έβδομος Ουρανός».  Η   πλατφόρμα  περιστρέφεται   αργά,  και  οι   επισκέπτες   έχουν  πρόσθετη   ευκαιρία   να  θαυμάσουν   την   ομορφιά  όλης  της   Μόσχας  από   ψηλά.   Άσχετα   αν   είναι    μέρα   ή    νύχτα    θα   πρέπει   να    έχει   καθαρή    ατμόσφαιρα   για  να    μπορέσουμε    να  απολαύσουμε   την    θέα .Ο   διάσημος    Σοβιετικός  μηχανικός,   Νικολάι  Βασίλιεβιτς   Νικίτιν,  που    σχεδίασε  το   έργο  , σύμφωνα   με   το   μύθο,  πρωτότυπο   τέτοιου   τεράστιου  κτιρίου   ήταν   ένα   αντεστραμμένο   λουλούδι  κρίνου.  Το   σχέδιο    του   πύργου   TV   Ostankino  ήταν  μια    σημαντική   ανακάλυψη   στον   τομέα  της    δημιουργίας   των   πολυώροφων   κατασκευών  και   παραμένει   ένα   παράδειγμα   ομορφιάς  σχεδιαστικής    ιδέας  μέχρι   σήμερα.Ο  πύργος   κατασκευάστηκε  από   το   1960  έως   το   1967. Προηγμένες    τεχνολογίες  της   εποχής   είχαν   εφαρμοστεί  στην   κατασκευή   του ,  οι   περισσότερες   από    τις   οποίες   είχαν   εφευρεθεί   και  είχαν   άδεια   κατά   την   κατασκευή.Κατά  την είσοδο  μας  υπάρχει σε  όλο  τον χώρο  εντατικός έλεγχος  και αυστηρά  μέτρα  ασφαλείας . Θα  περάσουμε από  μεγάλο  και σχολαστικό  έλεγχο καλύτερο  και από  αεροδρόμιο .  Οι τιμές  της καφετέριας  και του εστιατορίου  είναι τσουχτερές. Τα  εισιτήρια  θα τα  προμηθευτούμε στο  κτήριο στα  αριστερά  του πύργου  και  κοστίζουν 1500 ρούβλια  ( 20  ευρώ ) αλλά  αξίζει την  κάθε δεκάρα . Προσοχή !! Το εισιτήριο  θα  μας το  ζητήσουν ...
