Gishwati and Mukura were named a national park in 2016, but the government hasn't yet stepped in to manage the park and build tourism infrastructure. That lack of infrastructure is the current charm. Accommodation in the guest rooms is very comfortable, and we were blown away by the delicious, plentiful food freshly prepared for every meal.
