One of the most relaxing experiences of my life. Definitely 5 stars. Why do people review it any less than 4-5 is strange. The hot springs are wonderful, the massage was solid and the clay and mud bath fantastic. 5k for entry ($3.3) is amazing and an extra 5k gets you into the VIP bath, totally worth it as it’s almost empty. The water and mud bath were so so relaxing, wow. And the lake offers a plunge as well. Very friendly and supportive staff. I cannot wait to be back. Never saw other hot springs with warm water and minerals globally offer mud bath - so a unique and excellent place here.
Only problem coming from Kigali is the way back. Check if maps show you turmac road. Do not use them as you’ll get lost. Use roads via Gisenyi and watch out at night as streets are dark but many people from town walk on the middle of...

ENGLISH REVIEW
These "rudimentary" hot springs compared to European standards are worth a detour. They are located directly on Lake Kivu.
Go for a full body massage or for a "leg and feet massage". The water comes out of the rock at a temperature between 65 and 85 degrees. There are employees on site who can give you explanations and who offer massages.
It is also possible to have you "bury" in the sulphurous soil for more or less 15 minutes. This seems to lessen certain pains related for example to rheumatism.
After a little "care" you will be able to rest in the hot water of Lake Kivu, where volcanic hot water and lake water mix.
Remember that standards are African and non-European standards. Do not expect a sophisticated place. Hot springs are well attended by locals. But as mentioned at the beginning of this review, they are worth a detour. The authenticity of the place is its charm and the hot water and the massage are...
Read moreWe went with a boat from Tam Tam and it took about 1 hour + to reach to the hot springs. After getting down the boat there is small stall with yellow hut (MoMo) and there you have to pay the entrance fee. Foreigners are 2000 RWF and the Locals 1000 RWF. Then you can enter to the hot water spring which covered with wooden fence. NOTE YOU CAN USE OR BRING ANY ALCOHOL IN TO THE SPRING. There is two pond prepared for the used by men and women. The water was too hot and was a good experience. They provided massage arm, shoulders and legs with water and mud. It cost 20 USD above. If you visit in Giseiny don't miss this...
