We decided to spend a couple of hours here and were hassled from beginning to end which spoiled what should have been a laid back experience. We paid $25 for two lunches - one from the buffet and the other from the kitchen. When my chicken and chips came out eventually they told me I hadn’t paid for it (which I had). I said forget it as I wasn’t prepared to pay another $15 for undercooked chicken and chips having been accused of non payment. I popped my uncooked chicken back on the grill and wished the very unfriendly staff a good day. They proceeded to laugh at me so I took photos of the bar and the staff. So sad. I’d always dreamed of going to St Lucia and it was unpleasant and uncomfortable. I am not a complainer but please don’t visit this bar on #vigie beach. They are spoiling the island vibes and have left a bitter taste in my mouth. Sorry St Lucia. I’m sure this isn’t the way you want to portray yourself but I won’t...
Read moreDON'T RIDE THE HORSES unless you can handle them! Apart from that, lovely beach. There were a couple of young blokes with horses offering rides, all good until one horse with a women on it was out of control. Galloping as fast as it could, she could not stop it and very fortunately ducked when it went under a tree. The back of her neck missed a branch by 25mm. So lucky. The lad who's horse it was was way down the beach, didn't appear too concerned. Spoke with a tourist who was near us and he said that the lad on the horse didn't know how to ride a horse as he wasn't gripping it properly and couldn't get it to run after the other horse. So, if you do ride, beware. Maybe one of the planes operating at the airport spooked it? Walk up the end of the beach away from the Cafes, go through the Hotel beach and past the derelict building to Choc Beach and you'll see cows on the beach at some...
Read moreStayed at Reduit Beach, but rented a car and decided to try out this beach as the waves were quite rough on this day. Parked on north end of the beach with wife and daughter, stayed for a couple of hours. The rock breaks were quite sufficient to break up the waves which enabled our daughter to swim without issue. Local children came over to where we were and our daughter had a great time making new friends. We only did the beach and did not eat there or need bathrooms. A great time was had, we enjoyed it tremendously. The local children were wondrring whrn we would return with our daughter. There were horses going up and down the beach but they did not go near where our belongings were. St. Lucians and their children were the best. The snooty, snotty stuck up tourists making negative reviews should just stay home or stay on the ship. We...
