Awesome location for family outings and picnics with washroom facilities. Can also be used for weddings parties and other celebrations. Just around the bend from the Argyle International Airport with parking available on the outsides. You can choose to bring your food cooked or cook on site where the available areas provided for such. The pond is a nice area to relax and take in some nice sea breeze with pathways layed out along the way. Change rooms and showers are available for after sea bathing. The facilities are clean, however we've never had much use for them. There is no protection from the sun around the area where the salt pond is as there are no trees. The pond has so much life as you can get to see the massive waves rolling towards you, then hit the rocks and trickle in. The water inside the pool is perfect height for little ones and a bit deeper off to the far end for adults ( just over the waist for someone tall). My baby loves it, we love it. This is a very nice and safe "pond", the ocean pours over large rocks into this place. The water depending on time of year is either up to waist level (6'0 guy here) or completely dry. Theres a nice ecosystem here and a great place to see seashells and other beach finds. Theres also sea urchins on the rocks so footwear recommended and crabs who like to jump into the water.
