Well, where do we start? Lalotalie delivered everything my husband and I were hoping for during our time in Samoa - and more!! We were made to feel so welcome and experienced a beautiful connection to the land and the people that we will treasure forever. This is for certain a very special place! The food was delicious, nourishing and plentiful, and we very much enjoyed the conversations with hosts Soli, Kolia, Olsen and Jane who were very generous in sharing their stories and helping us to learn about local life. The Sunday Umu was a welcome and unexpected highlight. We truly do feel that we stumbled upon a hidden gem - so much so that we stayed 3 nights instead of 1, and hope to come back again in the future. The conservation and sustainability work being done by this group is truly inspiring and we wish you all the best for your continued efforts and endeavours. Truly a time to remember. Highly recommend Lalotalie to anyone wanting to get off the beaten track and in touch with authentic Samoan life -...
Read moreOur waterfall hike with Olsen and the boys was one of the coolest things we have ever done! To be able to see such secluded and prestine nature in the middle of the Samoan jungle was just amazing. We loved that the hike went long enough for lots of adrenaline filled jumps (up to 17 meters) and climbs but also to enjoy the beauty of the waterfalls, swimming holes and exotic plants. There was definitely something for everyone. Olsen and the boys made us feel safe the whole time and made the tour even more special with their fun, games and interesting facts. You could definitely feel how much thoughts and heart they put into creating and guiding the tour! The food after the tour was lovely and the little Fales that you can stay in directly at the river look beautiful. I would definitely recommend anyone to do this once in a lifetime experience when coming to Samoa! Thanks again for this...
Read moreLalotalie was our favourite stay of the whole holiday. The hospitality is incredible with so much thought put into making a great experience for guests. Large meals presented beautifully. All Samoan style foods with explanations about what everything was and always an offer of more. Mosquitos coils were lit in our fale each evening as well as having the new looking mosquito net to protect us through the night. The river is beautiful and so refreshing for a swim. We stayed with our 18 month old son and Solie (probably misspelt sorry!) was so kind and engaging with him. The fales were large and well kept. All of the hosts were friendly and really made us feel at home. Kolia was really knowledgable and interested to share his experience and insights with us about Samoa - we feel like we learnt so much...
