For decades, the Masjed played a key role as the Grand Mosque of Riyadh and a venue where scholars and learners meet. As part of Qasr Al-Hukm Development Program, the Riyadh Development Authority RDA rebuilt the Masjed on its original location over an area of 16,800 m2 to accommodate about 17,000 worshippers, and opened it in Sha'ban, 1413H (January 1993). Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque consists of a main prayer area for men and another for women, and a 4,800-m2 courtyard used for prayers too. At the rear part of the courtyard, there are wooden beamed ceilings that bear the lighting units and amplifiers. Two 50-meter high minarets rise at the northern and southern sides of the Mosque and feature traditional architectural designs. Other facilities of the Mosque include two 325-m2 libraries, one for men and the other for women

The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Al Saud Grand Mosque in Dirah, Riyadh, is a remarkable and historic mosque, known as one of the largest in the city. Originally part of a near royal residence, it was later many area transformed into a mosque and named after Imam Turki bin Abdullah Al Saud. Located in a culturally rich area with landmarks like the Masmak Fort and Qsar Al Haqqam place & traditional markets such as the wholesale and retail Mayghalia Markets, the mosque stands as a significant tourist attraction. I visited this mosque, prayed Jumu'ah, and was deeply impressed by its beauty and the atmosphere it offers... ❤️ 👌

It’s nice mosques, not very glamorous , simple n elegant structure, on Friday’s prayers there’s high security so only limited gates are open that’s y u need to walk more, it was worrisome where to park the car but around 100-150 meters before the mosques there is huge open space which has ample parking even in rush hours. After the mosque there’s is museum which is actually the part of palace and it is worth visiting at least once if u in Riyadh to check out the history And culture of country, the area is old city area busy n you can find variety of shops from sewing machine to tailors perfume to luxury watches and with good bargain, the bus is also a good option which is number 16. Recommended to go through taco Uber Careem...
