Modon Lake Park — Attraction in Eastern Province

A beautiful park with lush greenery everywhere and surrounded with an artificial lake. I visited this park with my family. My kids enjoyed seeing so many birds and animals, especially a small tortoise crossing from one side of the lake to another. The lake is filled with small size fishes and we saw few ducks roaming freely in it. There are many slides for kids in this park and all of them are well maintained. Separate restrooms are available for both male and female and they were clean and tidy. One big drawback related to this park in my opinion is the lack of any grocery shops, cafes, and restaurants near this Park. So, I would recommend the travelers to carry meals, snacks and drink before coming to this Park. I saw only Saadeddin shop selling pastries, juices and drinks near this Park. Street lighting is also an issue which needs to addressed because immediately after Maghrib(sunset) all the park will be turned dark because of no lighting available...

During our visit, I was struck by the park's inviting ambiance. Our friends had an absolute blast exploring the open spaces. The green hills and lawns making the experience even more memorable for the visitors especially for kids.

The playground facilities are a bit limited when it comes to swings and other equipment for children. While this might be a minor drawback for families with younger kids, it’s easily overshadowed by the park’s natural beauty and charm. The park is a kind of new perspective for us. Because the design was with a kind of lake and surrounded with trees...and there are several level of lakes/ ponds...the park is covering a wide area. It is a very nice place to hang around with family, jogging, walking, etc. The only little burden is that this lake/ park located at industrial area. So, at the northern area of the park sometimes will have the aroma of the factories. It is not an issue for people who usually live around the industry/ factory but may be strange for people who are new to an industry. And yeah, in the evening the lightning is not as bright as corniche, but it is okay, we still can see the area around us. So, just enjoy the evening park with a little bit darkness.
