King Abdullah Park in Taif is an exceptional urban retreat that beautifully blends nature, activity, and relaxation. On my recent visit with family and friends, we had a fantastic time jogging along the well-paved walking trails, children gleefully played in the safe, padded playgrounds, and we enjoyed a peaceful walk by the lake and fountains.
Covering approximately 150,000 m², the park features expansive green lawns, shaded gazebos, and beautifully curated gardens adorned with colorful flowers, shrubs, and trees—creating an ideal setting for leisurely family picnics and strolls . The highlight is the central lake with shooting fountains that come alive with vibrant lights in the evening, offering an enchanting atmosphere that captivates all visitors .
Sports facilities are plentiful, including basketball and volleyball courts, a full-sized football pitch, and open areas perfect for jogging or rollerblading—even some friendly kite-flying was spotted . You’ll also find ample parking, spotless restrooms, wheelchair access, and snack kiosks and cafés nearby—perfect for a bite after exercise or during a family outing .
What really makes this park special is its impeccable cleanliness and calm ambiance, praised by many visitors . It’s safe, well-lit into the evening, free to enter, and has secure gates for peace of mind .
