The city was known by having a number of sheds, including Saqifat Bni Saedah because of the great historic event which has been signed to swear allegiance to Abu Bakr Alsiddiq after the death of the Prophet peace be upon him. The shed is located on the northwestern side of the holy mosque, and was among the houses the tribe of Bani Saedah Alkhozrgiah and which the Sahaabi Saad bin Maaz is from. It was close to Bida'ah well and then this shed was transformed later on to a building, its form changed through the ages, and was recently transferred to a park overlooking directly on the western wall of the mosque of Prophet Mohammad in the recent enlargement.

Situated 200m west of Masjid-e-Nabawi (in the rear right hand side), the Saqeefah Garden belonged to the Banu Sa’edah and is where the Muslims consulted regarding who should be appointed the Caliphate after the demise of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam. After the discussion, Abu Bakr Siddique Radiallahu Anhu was selected as the Caliphate. The main reason that was pointed by Umar Ibnul Khattab Radiallahu Anhu wad that only Anu Bakr holds the right to be selected as Caliphate as He was selected to led the salaat prayer when Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam was alive.

This garden is from Prophet's SAW period. Prophet SAW used to visit here often. But its fame is largely due to event when at time if Prophet's death, difference arose between ansaars (local Muslims from Medinah) and Mohajreen (refugee Muslims from Makkah) that new Caliph should be from their group. Finally Hazrat Abu Bakar Siddique RA was agreed upon as new (the first one after Proohet SAW) Caliph.

Very dirty inside. The pictures on Booking are misleading. Toilets, carpets and everything are not fit to be used for human being. Really, I am not fussy , but if you pay nearly 450 Saudi riyals, you expect better than. To be honest, the staff and the location are not bad and decent. I wish the manager and the elaf investment company improve it.

qifah Bani Sa'idah, commonly known as simply Saqifah, was a roofed building in Medina used by the Banu Sa'idah clan of the Banu Khazraj tribe. Saqifah is significant as the site where, after Muhammad's death, some of his companions gathered and pledged allegiance to Abu Bakr, electing him as the first Caliph.
