Known as the ‘Maldives of Saudi Arabia,’ Umluj offers tourists with breathtaking landscapes. It is one of the governorates in the Tabuk region and a stunning small town in the kingdom. With more than 100 gorgeous islands, the best places to visit in Umluj include cotton-white sandy beaches, hidden coral reefs, deep blue and turquoise water, and magical vistas. The town provides a place where travelers can unwind from their hectic routine, explore the reefs and relax on the beaches. It features several beachside towns and open places with many welcoming restaurants. Umluj is a part of the Red Sea project; therefore, ferries, boats, and large ships are banned from sailing in the area. This makes many Umluj tourist places untouched, quiet, and peaceful. It is an isolated gem that attracts travelers from all over the world. With crystal-clear water meeting the blue sky at the horizon, the town also has reefs that add vibrant colors to the landscape, making the peninsula a dream destination.

Umluj beach has a nice shallow shores with fine white sand. It's also a public beach in Saudi where you are allowed not to where abaya (for women). 😁👍 It is also rich in seashells and fish. You could go enjoy fishing there and shell picking. There are also some good coast guards patrolling out there though there are no life guards so don't leave your children unattended. You are not allowed to go beyond 5 meters from the shore unless you have license to do so. Though I highly advice NOT to go there during the hot seasons. I hardly survived the hot sticky nights camping out at the beach side. There is no wind throughout the night! 🥵 We weren't able to catch some sleep. Nevertheless, it is a good place! 😊❤️

Went on Saturday (Dec., 2022) to Maldives of ksa - Umluj, from Yanbu 2 hrs drive). 🏝️🌊Clear blue water, small huts to stay in (though very bad in condt and surrounding area is also not clean), with shallow water near shore. Can go with young ones though ladden with stones and sometimes sharp edges can cause some injury. Slippery too so word of caution for young ones. The area we were at have nearby Eateries like Albaik / McDonald's, Dunkin and a mart (name I forgot). #🤢The washrooms are in miserable condition. And at our morning till afternoon (or early evening time) all kiosks were closed. Functional??

All you need to know about Umluj. 😍

Our stay-🏚 We stayed in yanbu which is 2hours away drive from Umluj. We booked @novotel_yanbu through booking.com for three nights.

Umluj Boat ride-🛥 We booked our ride from @umluj_serves. There are different rates  for different boats and yachts. You can choose your timings, we went from 9am to 1pm. We were a group of 10 people and opted for this boat in frame and it costed us total sr1000 + sr130 (fruit basket) for 4 hours.

Keep exploring for more boats as you can get cheaper ones too, we got to know about the cheaper ones after we had booked and did the advance payment. So keep contacting different boat guides.

Activities-🚤 •If you're lucky then you can get to see dolphins, turtles and fish. Unfortunately we couldn't see dolphins or turtles.🐬🐢🐠 Tip- carry khubs or roti so that seagulls can come closer to you.

• Our boat anchored  into the middle of the sea where there was shallow water and we stayed there for around 2 hours. It was definitely the best experience from the whole boat ride. Swimming, floating and relaxing and clicking pictures. All you could see was crystal clear water and beautiful shades of blue around till far. 😍 • Fishing- none of us were interested in it so we didn't do fishing. 🐠

Definitely a mesmerising experience for...

Umm Lajj One of the best beaches in Saudi Arabia It's one of the beautiful & cleanest beaches I have seen It was open for Public in 2015,nearing completion The beach is open and wide with small huts for public and swings for children. The water is clear but is a bit salty. The place is quite and clean There is not much around except for the beaches and hotels But it's a must visit for anyone on an enroute The city is serene and beautiful, population is not too much here & hardly any locals around . Beach is a relaxing spot perfect to visit in the evening . This beach will give you all an Instagram worthy shots. One of the drawback is that once you miss a u turn it will take kilometers to get the next one Expats are mostly around this beach There are also some sculptures on around the beach It's definitely worth visiting If u loved this review make sure to give it a big...
