Read morehe Reserve de Bandia is a 3500 hectare (1400 acres) has safari rides of about 90 minutes in safari vehicles with 9 theatre style seats. The expert guide provides an excellent orientation to múltiple animals, their habits, their foods, their hábitats, their predators. The guide gave us photo pointers and good camera singles. We were able to see warthogs, tortoises, antelopes, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, elands, antelopes, and of course two kinds of monkeys. The reserve has a Childrens Playground, a reptile viewing área, also offers a gift shop of local crafts and clothing, a reptile área, and a crocodile viewing área. Excellent service at the restaurant. We ordered ahead of time for our group of 16 to insure timely service for us and the staff. The appetizers included a good seafood salad, and chicken cesaer salad. The antelope burger is light and excellent, topped with cheese on sesame bun. Eland tacos are very good, the mixes grill includes a savory chicken but the beef was grilled outside and raw inside. The frozen Oreo cheesecake was a crowd favorite as was the fresh fruit plate with...

The animals behaved in such a quiet way that at a certain moment, our guide invited me to get out of the protective car and approach the white rhinos on foot against the wind: hence I was able to make these fairly frame filling shots with my 70-200mm lens on a ful frame camera (slide and negative film rather than digital yet in these days). A little bit of luck with the nature of the light conditions is always welcome too of course ... When leaving the park in the late afternoon, I noticed a forest of young Baobab trees while the sun was quickly setting on the background. Hence I shot a few extra pictures whereby the filmgrain got more overwhelming with the...
