Church of Saint Prince Lazar Hrebeljanovic Serbian , 1377 – Lazarica (Church of Lazar)

St. Stephen's Church, better known as Lazarica, is located in the center of today's city of Kruševac, and it was built, most probably between 1377/1378. and in 1380, Prince Lazar (1371 - 1389), as the church of his newly built capital, Kruševac. The church, together with the monastery of Ravanica, represents a unique beginning of the Moravian style

This church had a very unreal and unexplainable effect on me. When I walked into this small church, I felt a lot of energy and calmness within. The fresco is a must see!! I also happened to go there just when the lights were switched ON; they have this amazing circular light suspended from the ceiling. There is also a fabulous museum next door, which I must admit, is one of the best I've been to. And yes I've been to the ones in London and trust me this one will take u by surprise. I will be back to this city to see this church again, even though it will take me 7 hours flight and 2 hours of drive...

Very important church and monument for Serbian history, the town of Krusevac used to be the capital of Serbia. This orthodox church was named and built by ancient leader, called Knez, something like Lord, Lazar Hrebeljanovic known as a Tzar Lazar of Serbian people even though he has never become one. Priests are very devoted to keep the original look and purpose with all reliques. This church will probably become a monastery. It is also interesting that there are ruins of the old town and the park is very nice...
