Sremska Mitrovica is an absolutely stunning little european village in Serbia, nestled between the hills of Fruška Gora and river Sava. The park in the centre is so tranquil and reminiscent of a bygone era with an ornate fountain right in the middle. Der Park an sich ist nichts besonderes, ein normaler Park eben. Aber das Weinfest das ein mal im Jahr in diesem Park stattfindet ist fantastisch!!! Für 600 Dinar bekommt man ein Weinglas und kann dann von Stand zu Stand Weine von vielen verschiedenen Winzereien aus ganz Serbien probieren. Es sind wirklich viele Stände vertreten und man bekommt an jedem Stand auch nachgeschenkt. Das Glas darf man behalten. Auch Live Musik und sehr gute Stimmung. Sehr freundliche Menschen und es gibt auch Essensstände zu normalen Preisen. In Deutschland wäre das undenkbar auf einem Festival zu normalen Bäckereipreisen/Imbisspreisen Essen zu bekommen und sich quasi die ganze Zeit umsonst etwas zu trinken zu holen.
