Nature Park "Sargan-Mokra Gora" — Attraction in City of Užice

Mokra Gora is a valley in western Serbia, located between Tara and Zlatibor mountains. It is connected with the Šarganski prevoj, which towards the north forms a natural link with Tara, and to the south with Zlatibor. The beauty of the nature park "Shargan-Mokra Gora" contributes to the turbulent relief with the valleys and cliffs of the river Beli and Crni Rzav. A special value is the Skakavac waterfall as well as a large number of mineral springs. Sargan 8 is a historical, now museum railway. It is of narrow track, only 75 cm wide and there are also two tracks 60 cm wide which makes real 100 years old trains seem like joy rides in amusement park. It is very romantic, woden with wood scent and tiny inside, which makes for fun ride. Track climbs high and steep trough a lot of tunnels. Train makes stops at historical stations and at one Kusturica movie set. There are a lot of great wievs at stunning nature, rivers and mountains. Оно што је почело као приватна иницијатива групе ентузијазиста окупљених око удружења “Шарганска осмица”, претворило се у пројект који је удахнуо нови живот Мокрој Гори. Мокра Гора је постала позната туристичка дестинација. До 1974. године кроз Мокру Гору је пролазила стара пруга уског колосека Београд-Сарајево. Удружење Шарганска осмица покренуло је идеју о обнови некада популарне Шарганске осмице, јединствене трасе железнице уског колосека (760 mm), која гледана из ваздуха има облик броја осам. Обновљеним делом пруге од железничке станице у Мокрој Гори до оближње станице у Шарган-Витасима данас саобраћа туристичка атракција, стари парни воз „Ћира“. У Мокрој Гори се налази неколико десетина минералних извора. Због чињенице да Мокра Гора лежи на једном од највећих налазишта никлом богате железне руде у Европи, већина извора има изразито висок садржај растворених јона.
