St. Roman monastery is one of the oldest in Serbia. Me and my family love to go there its so relaxing. Also there is a St.Roman tomb where people ask for help and blessings. Many of those who have had problems with getting pregnant ask for help here and two of our friends were blessed with beautifull children after opening their soul and truthfully praid at his grave. In monastery you can find a grave of duke Vronski from Ana Karenjina. His heart was burried here after he died in fight for liberation of Serbia from Otoman Empire rule. Also there is a natural spring with drinkable watter that helps with eyes problems.

It’s hard to find the right words to describe this place, you should see for yourself. Significant religious and historical place. A beautiful old monastery, hidden in the woods, dedicated to the monk Roman Sinait, a famous healer and later a saint. In the monastery is the tomb of St. Roman, and in the courtyard is the place where the heart of Nikolaj Nikolajevic Rajevski is buried. He was a Russian colonel who fought alongside the Serbs against the Turks in the 19th century. Based on him, Lav Tolstoj created a character, so called count Vronski, when he wrote novel “Ana Karenjina”

Manastir je bogate istorije i tradicije. Obavezno posetiti. Манастир припада малобројној групи манастира који су подигнути пре Немањића. Свети Роман је дошао 888. године на овим просторима. У хрисовуљи (врста декрета) цара Василија Другог 1011. године манастир се помиње први пут. Прво званично помињање је из 1498. године. Манастир је познат по томе што је ту као монах живео Роман Синаит, који је касније проглашен за светитеља, па је манастир по њему и добио име. Гроб Светог Романа Синаита са моштима и данас се налази у манастиру. Он се поштује као чудотворац и исцелитељ.[3] Монаси синаити су следбеници солунског чудотворца Григорија Паламе који су прихватили његово учење и у Србију су дошли за време Кнеза Лазара. Данашњу манастирску цркву подигао је управник ергеле Кнеза Лазара на старим темељима. Обновио га је Ђорђе Пиле 1795. године у знак захвалности за сопствено излечење у њему, а након што је од султана за 300 гроша измолио ферман за обнову[4]. Живопис је из 1795. године и сачуван је у певницама и поткуполама. Сматра се да испод слоја креча има још старијих фрески. Нови живопис је урађен 1831. године. Very interesting architecture of the church, beautiful position, near Aleksinac city, dates from IX century, dedicated to Saint Roman, known as healer for mental deseases and for couples who couldn't have children. There is a shop within, with variety of nature products. I buy honey and domestic rakija, traditional Serbian brandy.

Beautiful serbian monastery dates from 9. century. Natural domestic products - honey, rakija etc. There are grave of Nikolaj Nikolajevič Rajevski, grof Vronski (he was inspiration actor for one of famous Tolstoj's novel: Ana Karenjina) Interesting architecture od monastery. Must see this threasure near Aleksinac in Serbia.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Код искључења с ауто-пута код Ражња, скрене се ка Нишу старим путем и после 2 км од преласка надвожњака преко ауто-пута налази се скретање десно ка Рибарској бањи. Прелази се цело село Прасковче и на излазу је скретање десно по путоказу и долази се до манастира Св. Романа. Манастир је из 9. века и неколико пута је уништаван и поново обнављан. Специфичан је улаз у манастир, постоје 2 врата, оба с леве стране манастира. Од врата, која су ниска, у цркву се улази степеништем и наилази се на две просторије, у једној је главни црквени простор, а паралелно је уски простор где је гроб светитеља. У манастиру су пре короне двапут годишње вршена освећења јелеја. Ово је сада мушки манастир. У дворишту је лети много лијандера, а крај цркве је и гроб Руса пуковника Рајевског, где је он био сахрањен, а на основу кога је створен лик из Вронског из Толстојеве,,Ане Карењине ". У близини су и два лековита извора.
