My friend and I took a chance late in the day after hanging around Novi Sad to hit up one of the wineries in Sremski Karlovci, with no real plan/reservation. We opted for Djurdjic we figured being out of town amongst the hills over the town would be a bit nicer, and we weren't wrong!
The guys took us in immediately and, after a tour, provided a wonderful selection of 6-7 wines, all of which were fantastic (new loves: the cabernet franc and the discovery of bermet!)
Service was friendly, attentive, informative, but not overbearing.
The ONLY downsides...try to come on a sunny day as the views are amazing (we had overcast) and also, we didn't opt for the food pairing/dinner but saw everything coming out for other guests and it all looked incredible, big regret. So advice - maybe do book in advance with food!
Also, it may seem far but it is 100% walkable from town, 20-25 minutes. Yes it gets to dirt roads but it's a vineyard...to be expected. I'm sure you could drive/cab it, but no need, and if like us you just decide to go on a whim, not a problem, Google Maps will get you there without a fuss.

Read moreA very cozy and nice winery. Visited it in December with co-workers. Marina greeted us and showed the production line and two wine cellars. Besides, we saw two amphoras used in production of some of the wines here. There was a full dinner (a starters plate, a goulash, a hefty piece of meat and a strudel as a dessert) and a tasting set of 5 wines. The wines are splendid, some of them are very unusual. The quirkiest one is for sure the Black Knight (Crni Vitez), but Probus is interesting as well. Consider trying local Sauvignon Blanc, too, it’s wonderful. Considering wines, the color-coded scheme of labelling is also curious. You can book dinner and tasting 3-4 days in advance (at least, during cold...
Read moreGreat place to visit! Hospitality - The owner and his family host guests themselves- they make nice excursion on their wine cellar and tell you the story of Serbian Wine, which is Incredibly interesting. Wine - very good level of white, pink and red wine. Total 5 types for tasting, pretty big portion, which is more then enough. One of red wines made from the oldest grape types. The wine is on very good level and price. One of them -rose was awarded as best Serbian for 2021. Food - cheese and meet plate, homemade goulash and njoki (truly best ever we have ever tried), strudel. Everything was served nicely and had delicious taste.
Highly recommend this place. I would give 6 stars...
