Amazing natural beauty, up in the mountains, lake and it's surroundings are great for outdoor activities, boat trips, taking great photos and enjoying the nature. If you go by road from direction of Vladicin han, near Vranje, the pavement of the road is good but be careful as you go up in the mountain because there are some serious curves ahead! There are a number of small hotels and private accomodation for a decent price. You can not expect internet availability to be decent though and even the mobile signal is weak. Vlasina is set on 1200m / 3600ft above sea level which makes it perfect for your lungs and overall health. It lacks amenities but does not lack beautiful peaceful spots to spend time with your family and friends. There are hotels, guesthouses and apartments as well as stores and beaches. Best to get here from Serbian side is through highway - Vladicin Han - Surdulica - Vlasina. Closest airports are Nis and Belgrade in Serbia, Skopje in Macedonia, and Sofia...

Nice place for family picnic, bring a friend or two and stay over the weekend! There are no facilities of any kind and you will have to park at the side of the road.
