This is the most expensive tasting I’ve ever had and I have done tastings in Napa Valley and Santa Barbara. I didn’t even know (as few of were in the bathroom when this was discussed), but tasting is per glass that you are tasting and not per person. This all we found out at the end but one glass costs 500 dinars, which is $5. Now mind you that their wines are mostly around $15-20 and the pour was tiny tiny so it doesn’t make sense that you would be charging that much per glass. Oh bit that is not all, if you asked to taste Vozd (their award winning one), will cost you $12 for a tiny taster!!! This is Serbia and not Napa Valley. 5 of us tasted about 4-5 glasses and my wife asked for additional one not knowing that we are paying per glass and total cost for tasing was $200!!!! And pours were small that no one was even buzzzed! Mind you that 11 of us the night before had a meal in a nice serbian restaurant with drinks and it cost us the same. This was the most expensive wine tasting of my life. We even bought few bottles and that didn’t help waive any of the tasting fee which is normally done in many wine countries.
We’ve done tasting at this winery in the prior year and it wasn’t like that so this was a shock.
They don’t have a catalog of wines for you to read through as you are tasting. You don’t know how much they cost to buy or if you want to reqd more about the wine itself. The catalog they gave us is for reserve wines that we didn’t even taste. What is the point of that?!? That is something seriously that has to be fixed.
So how do you get past this shock of a cost and talk about the wines or overall atmosphere. The place is cute overall but had weak ceiling fans and we were sweating the whole time. The blinds were closed because of the heat so we didn’t enjoy the views. There is a construction next door so that also takes away from the ambiance. Wines were fine. We liked Rose, and one of the Brute sparkling and one of the Sauvignon Blancs. Red was fine too and Vozd was good.
We are not coming back here again even though we had a lovely visit the year before. So disappointing that I had to write a review. Hope...
Read moreThe vinery is very nice and the staff is very friendly! BUT! You pay for tasting wine per GLAS! We never had that before in any wineries around the world! We are wine lovers and we are traveling around the world but we never paid for tasting wine if we buy it. How would we know what to buy if we dont try. We bought wine for 246‘000 dinars, which is around 2‘000 euro, and we had to pay an extra 5‘000 dinar for tasting. This is very disappointed. Thd Idea of whine and dine is amazing and I understand that people just come for that without buying anything, so it is correct to pay but if you come to try and buy this should be offerd as dveryone else in...
Read moreGreat experience in this winery. We got a lot of information during the visit of the winery and it was great because we could see everything. The winery is incredible, very modern and big. It's a must see in the area. We could also taste 4 wines with an incredible view on the vineyard. The lady was very caring and suggested different wines for the tasting. Wines are very good, complex and sophisticated. Special mention to the sparkling wine (pinot noir) and the white wine aged in barrels (my favorite one). We ended our tour with buying more wines that we expected thanks to the amazing moment we had! I highly recommend this winery for...
