The Ram fortress (serbian: Tvrđava Ram) is a 15th century fort located on the right side of river Danube in the village of Ram in Eastern Serbia. The whole fort is built on a rock and the remains are still available for exhibition. It is built from crushed stone and it is in good shape till today. Fortress provides look over the whole area and on Danube which is 5 km wide here. Today, this land is protected and declared as wetland of national importance. National Geographic proclaimed that from the fortress, in the evening hours, you can see the most beautiful evening dusk. This fortress holds much history and you can even have a guide explaining it throughout. #Ramfortress #VelikoGradište...

Views towards the Danube river are truly fantastic. I would recommend to come to the fortress via river transport (whether you're on foot, bike or by car) and then...
