Very well maintained drive-through safari park cum amusement park. The animals seem well fed, curious yet not aggressive, appear happy and contented in the spacious environs and seem accustomed to the cars go by. For those who can’t immediately plan a trip all the way to Africa and even for those who can, this is a great idea! Almost guaranteed sighting of all the animals yet not cramped like a zoo. And places in between when one can safely get off the car and interact with and feed animals like sheep, dear etc. while other sections with the wild animals are clearly signposted not to get off the car and to keep windows closed. The park ranger vehicles are parked at frequent intervals too to ensure safety of humans and animals. The entry ticket is quite reasonably priced, considering the amount of maintenance it would take and amusement park rides too as a bonus. For those who dont want to drive through in own car, there are multiple safari buses for an extra fee. There is accomodation options too available , one has to email them in advance to book as it is not possible to directly check availability and book online , as per my understanding. The amusement park section, although not too huge, is good as well. With rides for all ages. And not too crowded. Some of the water rides end up making you quite wet, so full rain jackets advised! The shows were interesting too. And there is a large indoor play area as well. The restaurants/cafes are quite reasonably priced. Advisable to reach quite early-they open at 10 am- as it can get quite crowded very fast. The drive through ticket counter before entering into the safari park is quite time consuming! After that despite the long line of cars driving through the 10km or so of safari park, one gets good view of animals as there is lot of space. It is just one designated route to drive theough the safari park in one direction only and impossible to get lost. After one exits the safari park, there is lot of parking around the amusement park, which one can walk into from multiple points. Just familiarise oneself with the park map to orient oneself and remember which section one has parked the car at. TIP- on the Serengeti Park website, there was a “ kinderfreikarte” offer- by printing it out, one child between 3-12 years per car can get free entry when accompanied by paying adult. The offer is finished for the 2017 season but worthwhile looking out for it.

Serengity Safari Park - we were excited by the name itself, and it soared high on looking at the main entrance. We have booked Jumbo Lodge cottages which were good for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). It had 2 bedrooms, a living room, a small terrasse and attached toilet and bath. The rent of the cottage was high, which restricted us from staying another night. However, for the enjoying the wildlife and adventure rides, 1-2 days are enough. Yes, you read it right. It also has a small adventure park, not too many variety of rides, but most of the common ones could be found. It had some kind of rides for all age groups. I, personally liked the boat ride most. Talking about Safari, one can take a Safari tour on own car, which gives the flexibility to stay at any point at will, but the demerit is that you are not very close to animals like lions and tigers (there is appx 15-20 meters of distance). But while passing through the areas of Giraffes, Deers, and other such animals, the car is so near that they can bring their heads inside your car, which was unimaginable for kids. Taking the ride in Serengity Safari Vehicles takes you closer to the lions, tigers, rhinos and others, but then you have to align your plans with the Safari timings and the queue to get in. It also has it's own defined routes and stops (also stop time for each stop). We did both (took ride in own car as well as with Serengity Safari) and both were amazing with different experience. One can also book buffet meals along with the lodge. It's a wonderful experience, not only for kids, but grown ups too. A must visit.

I’ve visited Serengeti park several times but this time was really upsetting. Park itself is nice but the problem is some idiots just don’t understand DO NOT FEED ANIMALS sign and they still feed animals. I was there on last Saturday and during my stay, I’ve seen people in front of me giving carrots(At least, that’s eatable), popato chips and when someone had thier window opened one Giraffe got plastic bags out of their car and ended up eating one empty plastic bag and a pretzel that was inside of plastic bag. When Giraffe ate the first plastic bag,(Giraffe actually dropped pretzel plastic bag outside of car) those idiots didn’t even try to stop Giraffe from eating but they just drove off quickly. Since I wasn’t allowed to get out of car, I drove quickly to the pretzel plastic bag but Giraffe still ended up eating it before I could pick it up. If those idiot quickly picked it up, then Giraffe wouldn’t have ended up eating 2 plastic bags. I am seriously worried about the poor Giraffe and other animals might get sick and really upset about some idiot humans. I hope there will be more trainers paying more attention on animals so animals won’t get sick from food that idiots give them. Park itself is lovely and you can see many animals. I’d recommend you to visit but when you visit, PLEASE DO NOT FEED ANIMALS.

It's a joy and a pain to visit everything and do everything in one day. The place is huge and highly entertaining for everyone, from 4 to 80 yro. Honestly i wouldn't recommend doing the safari tour with your own car because it's slow, it's dangerous for your car (scratches or dents from the animals if they get mad), you have to make place on the right for the tour busses and jeeps to pass. I went with the bus (6.5 euro/ person) and I'm glad i did that, it takes about 50 min (not 2h with your car), the guide (driver) even though is speaking only German is highly entertaining and funny. You have a free of charge parking lot, just leave your car there and go have fun. Just make sure to bring big bottles of water with you in a backpack (rucksack) because all the drinks sold are tiny sizes 300ml at most and they are almost all 3 eur/ bottle. Best fun i had in years, I totally recommend. ❤️

First of all, our VIP safari tour with our guide Kai was absolutely amazing!! Very friendly, explains clearly, open for questions, good with kids and all, but when she hangs out of the window yelling "Rosie!" and 2 camels come running towards the jeep, fabulous! We had 5 stops to feed 20 or so deers, horses, llamas, camels, bisons and giraffes, so the kids where over the moon! 1 minor point though, some rides have an age restriction on top of height restriction, which is in many cases just stupid. Our kids have done some wild rides already, but here some simple things are limited to above 130cm for example, which is quite restricting to my opinion. Also typically German apparently, "Let's blast some petrol with boats, hovercrafts and quads!" at a theme park. Some were actually good fun, others just waste.
