A Wonderful Hike! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The Copolia Trail offers an exceptional hiking experience that is both visually stunning and easily manageable. The trail is relatively straightforward to ascend, although it's advisable to carry water as the temperature can rise significantly, even in the morning hours. The popularity of the trail means that it's frequently visited, creating a sense of shared adventure.
While there's a nominal entrance fee of 100 Seychellois Rupees per person, it's well worth the cost. Towards the trail's conclusion, you encounter a small ladder ascent, which is securely anchored to the rock face. This adds an enjoyable touch of adventure without posing any difficulty.
One of the highlights of the hike is the opportunity to observe Seychelles' unique flora and fauna. If you have concerns about spiders, simply keep your focus on the path ahead. Although you might spot spiders in their webs, they tend to stay relatively motionless and won't disrupt your hike.
In summary, the Copolia Trail provides a memorable journey through Seychelles' natural beauty. It's an accessible adventure that rewards hikers with breathtaking views and an up-close encounter with the local ecosystem. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or new to the trails, this experience is definitely...

This includes rare endemic elements like Bwa Mediz (Medusagyne oppositifolia) and Hederorkis...
Read moreWe do not normally hike and found this trail quite steep. It took approximately an hour to climb but the path was well laid out and the view at the end was very much worth it. We arrived at a good time after noon and there was no one else at the summit. We were surrounded by shrubs of carnivorous pitcher plants endemic to Mahe island deeply rooted amongst the large granite rocks, which was very interesting to see. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and breathable clothes and bring plenty of water! The entrance was 100 SCR per person and card payments are accepted. We had initially planned to do the Morne Blanc trail but decided to turn around a few minutes into the trail as there was no proper path visible for the climb. It was a good decision to do the Copolia trail instead, which was a moderate climb and less than 10 minutes drive from...
