I am genuinely really disappointed by the call. The staff was so rude and condescending. I called up because a baby bat was stuck outside my home - I am very scared to handle the situation considering its a wild animal, bats are carriers of many diseases and also it was so small and delicate - I didn’t wanna accidentally hurt it. I told her the situation and her first response was,”But why u cannot handle it?” Miss, if I know how to handle it,I wouldn’t call u up in the first place. I told her my concerns regarding health and safety issues and her first response was “Okay but bats don’t have rabies” - Okay even if Im wrong, can we focus on the real issue? The poor little thing is stuck,my knowledge of bats is CLEARLY not very good. She asked for the address and the picture and will callback. The 2nd call was the one I couldn’t take. She told me I need to use a chopstick to get it out - Why would u ask my address in the first place if I have to handle it myself?Nvm...Suddenly my house cat came up and was looking at the bat - she might attack the bar and I didn’t want anything to happen so I told her to gimme a moment while I handle my cat. She deadass said,”Im gonna hangup the call now, bye” And just hungup. That was so bloody rude but I gave her chance. Called her up again and I told her the situation earlier about my cat...I then asked if I can get someone to come and rescue the bat. And expected,”Um no we are not sending anyone there. We will call u back again.Bye” And hangup on me again. Twice. Humble yourself, woman. You are so bloody rude. I am legit damn disappointed in your service considering there are many wonderful reviews here. Im sure most of your staff are not problematic but the woman today was just...
Read moreOn the 17th of July 2025, there was a pigeon outside my house. Initially I thought the pigeon was just chilling outside my house so I tried to scare it off but then I realised that the pigeon couldn’t fly so I contacted ACRES around 12 pm. ACRES told me to take photos and videos which I did and I sent it to them via WhatsApp, but they said that the pigeon looks fine. It’s just a young pigeon so bring it downstairs. so at first I gave the pigeon some water and then I brought it downstairs at 3 pm at 7:30 pm when I went downstairs to buy groceries the pigeon was still downstairs at the same spot I left it without moving at all so then I contacted ACRES once again and I told them that it is almost impossible that a pigeon would stay where it was left for hours where there’s so much foot traffic because usually birds get scared and they fly away. This pigeon did not budge at all. So then they told me to put the pigeon inside the box which I did so I put the pigeon in the box and I left it outside my house because I was scared someone would throw the box away if i left it downstairs, then I asked ACRES what time would they come and take the pigeon and this is their reply. I was highly disappointed and because I have a dog in the house, I don’t know how to nurture the bird back to good health so eventually I just let the bird go free . Anyways ACRES, please do not call yourself a wildlife rescue if you are not willing to rescue pigeons, bats, chickens, or rats, because on your Google reviews that are many one star reviews stating these types of animals that you guys are not willing to take in. if you’re only looking for specific animals, or if you’re only looking for birds that are more rare please state it...
Read moreTo be honest I don't even want to give you any single star! Found a injured tiny bat at my housing area yesterday around 5pm and tried to contact Acres to help this poor thing. We asked if can send someone to check on the bat coz it was too tiny and we do not want to injure it more accidentally. The person on the other side just keep asking us to Whatsapp them and sent us instructions asking us to help the bat BY OURSELVES. Ok so we FOLLOWED the instructions as mentioned, monitored the bat if it stayed for more than 30mins without moving itself, and we keep texting them the conditions about the bat, while they didn't bothered to reply us anything after sending only the instructions. The staff closed the case when we moved the bat to the tree and that's all! So our requests to send someone were just BLUETICKED and there are also no follow-up of the condition about the bat after that. We don't even know if the bat is injured, or whether the bat is a baby, how can you be sure moving it to a tree wouldn't injured it more? And the next morning we went check on the poor tiny bat and FOUND IT WAS ALREADY PASSED ON! If only they are really following their so-called OUR VISION "A world where animals are treated with compassion and respect" and OUR MISSION "To create a caring and socially responsible society where animals are treated as sentient beings", they could have done something to rescue the poor bat and not letting it pass and ignoring it's life! This is such A SHAME! I don't see where is the CARING AND RESPONSIBLE by how this case was treated! What's the point of using the name of charity if the animal is treated like this! It is...
