As a parent, I have seen a remarkable improvement improvement in my son's grades and not only that a change in his attitude towards the language as well within the 1.5 years since we went to Ms Chen. I highly recommend Ms Chen.

I Highly Recommend Ms Chen's tuition. I dropped into 普华 in P5 and have been struggling with Chinese ever since for the whole of secondary school. It got to a point where I got E8 for an exam and legitimately didn't understand anything. The first steps of studying always has that inertia, and I felt it hard when learning all the basic Chinese words that was supposedly common knowledge. However, Ms Chen's tuition provided a chill and conducive environment for learning, with handcrafted lessons helping all my weak points each lesson and made learning Chinese for once feel like a worthwhile activity rather than a chore. Ms Chen's down-to-earth teaching style was helpful in helping me achieve my goal of passing not only O level 普华 but the finals in a SAP school and finally the 高华 O levels, getting an A2, B3 and B4 in those respectively where before I had always aimed for C6 and getting marks in the D7 range. Ms Chen is a very patient and loving teacher who really takes pride in her work and teaching. I have tried multiple Chinese tuition teachers over the years and she so far has been the only one where I have not only deeply benefitted from, but have also been able to establish a close bond with. Apart from her quality teaching in lessons, her materials and resources are very useful and will definitely help anyone taking the Chinese exams. She is also very proactive in helping her students and will help them find the best way to improve. She always answers my questions and marks my work on time. I think a key feature is that she is proficient in English, so she can explain difficult Chinese terms in a manner that is easy to understand and grasp. Highly recommend Ms Chen’s Writing Buddy Program!

Since P4, my child’s HCL and CL grades were pulled down by her compositions. After getting 17/40 (HCL) and 25/40 (CL) for her P5 WA2 compositions, I felt that more practice with feedback from a teacher was what we needed. I found Chen’s Higher Chinese and felt that the Writing Buddy Program would be perfect for my child who did not have time to attend tuition classes. We started in July 2021 and could see slow but steady improvement from then on. Ms Chen would email an assignment weekly and after submitting and receiving the marked composition, my child would read Ms Chen’s feedback and the accompanying model composition. Before every school practice paper or exam, my child would review all the comments and mistakes made from past Writing Buddy assignments and read all the model compositions again.
