Flower Dome + Rainforest at Marina Bay Gardens
ATTRACTION DESCRIPTION: Tuesday 24/9/24, we went to the Gardens by the Bay to see the 2 huge greenhouses there. The first greenhouse is the Flower Dome 🌺 and the second greenhouse is the Rainforest 🌳. They are both beautiful and excellent miniature reconstructions of gardens and forests with flowers and plants from all over the world. The photos and videos that I have posted partially convey the beauty and spectacle of colors and shapes of plants that nature can create, between the two greenhouses once visited, the flower one is the one I prefer. In short, you enter these greenhouses and there is no path to follow in the flower dome 🌺 you wander around where you like, instead in the rainforest one you have to follow a path.
TICKET PRICE: I bought the tickets online on the most popular website for booking hotels 😀. Cost of tickets 2x adults about €84 for entry to the 2 greenhouses. On all the sites where you buy the ticket 🎟️ they will indicate the route and the meeting point, however I put it here: Gardens by the Bay, 18 Marina Gardens Drive, Supertree Grove, Singapore, 018953
ATTRACTION: Just look at the photos and videos that I put together with the review, to understand what it is about. However, to summarize, it is about 2 huge greenhouses, one dedicated mainly to flowers and the other greenhouse to forests. In the first there are many qualities of flowers and orchids and the other is instead focused on plants and the most beautiful thing is certainly the artificial waterfall right at the entrance to the Rainforest.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW: The important thing, being two huge greenhouses very well made, beautiful and located in the most iconic place in Singapore, namely the Marina Gardens bay, there will be many people and a lot of queues to do if you have not bought the ticket 🎟️ online. Then once you enter the greenhouses if you have guessed the time they are livable and you can walk around them without too many problems, instead if you get the time wrong you will find columns of tourists some rude with various consequences.
IS IT WORTH SPENDING MONEY FOR THIS ATTRACTION: Yes, it is an attraction that is a shame not to see it if you are in Singapore. I liked at least the Flower Dome so much that you will spend money again to...

Read moreI’ve been to the flower dome several times when it was newly open and it was lovely. A nice stroll amongst flowers we could otherwise never get to see.
Two weeks back we wanted to do Jurassic world on a weekday and so we paid for the friends of gardens membership since it was about the same price. It was crowded but bearable at lunchtime. Staff were also very alert and helpful.
Today I went back another day for the Rose Romance . Please rename it Rose Ruckus. There were a lot of beautiful roses but also a lot of dried out roses. The dark red roses were the worst it looks like someone roughly sprayed dirty water or fertiliser on it cos it looked awful and I know cos the petals were stained.
But nothing prepared me for the AWFUL crowd. It was like a cheap tourist trap. Even the wet market near my house not as chaotic. What is even going on? So you don’t care about anything other than money? How hard is it to control the crowd? You could do bookings for time slots at the very least. The amount of people in there was INSANE. I didn’t see ANY Singaporeans there. I think they do not care at all about locals enjoying this place and I am very sure they won’t.
Some tourists were pushing and shoving and cutting lines to take photos and taking photos for an eternity while there are staff 🧍🏻♂️ 🧍♀️ at the exit gate where we are leaving? Like why are you there doing nothing when you can help inside? You could have at the very least manned a q line at one of the exhibits.
The only light at the end of this awful hell hole was Hortus. A peaceful gem located in this hot mess. Please rebrand yourself to flower market! I legit had to take Panadol after coming back after navigating this hellscape. Yuck. Never again. Singaporeans please don’t waste your time . Go spend your time at one of our parks instead 🙏 I rather see our local flora in peace then lose a limb and catch covid inside...
