I booked 3 suites for myself and my family as Roxy Mecure is opposite the MRT station and in a location close to my Singapore family in Katong. Unfortunately, the stay was way below expectations. The Front Desk, breakfast restaurant and concierge teams were very friendly, attentive and helpful. When I raised issues with Front Desk, they immediately did their best to resolve. I have no issues with the teams. My biggest gripe was the quality of housekeeping. The following were issues experienced and raised: filthy mugs, unwashed tall glasses, dusty/filthy floors. My daughter-in-law in the Junior Suite was extremely upset after a long day out with my 10 mth old grandson, only to find all the room mugs, glasses, etc unwashed and left in the sink. The floor was filthy and the only thing done was the bed made. The towels were not changed. I raised this immediately with Front Desk, who apologised and organised a 'deep clean' the next morning. My son called housekeeping that evening, as they had no clean mugs nor towels. Housekeeping turned up and my son was shocked to see them 'wash' the mugs in the room sink by squirting some liquid and rinsed quickly with water. I have raised filthy mugs and unwashed tall glasses in my room, which housekeeping replaced when I called them. I now understand why they were filthy. Front Desk organised a platter of fruits as an apology, which was a kind gesture and appreciated. Unfortunately, some fruits were mouldy! I raised this with Front Desk the next day and showed them a picture. Another issue that I reported was a ceiling light not working in my Business Suite. Front Desk raised it with their engineer, but it was still not sorted in the evening. I raised it again with Front Desk the next day and the ceiling light was replaced, but the engineer left the room circuit breaker cover on the floor! I showed the picture to Front Desk the next day and they arranged the cover to be put back. I paid a lot of money for the 3 suites for our stay (5/8 nights) as a family treat. My family discussed this at the end of our stay and they were extremely disappointed with the experience. We agreed if the rooms were standard rooms, it would have been forgivable and tolerated, but not for what we paid and supposedly the best rooms in the hotel. Sadly, this has left a bad taste in our mouths and we will not be staying in the hotel again. I hope the hotel takes onboard the above feedback and improve their housekeeping services.

As an Accor member I do often select member hotels and this time was no exception and I am so glad we choose to stay at the Grand Mercure Roxy at first I thought it to be out of town, however with the MRT directly out the front we could have done chosen any better views over Marine Parade Parkland, beach and beyond the Singapore Straight with ships as far as the eyes could see it was excellent. Well appointed room an Exec level room on 17 and 16 floors upon our return being a creature I habit I was disappointed they did not give me room #1741 from our first visit again ☹ Filter water is available on each level although the tap water is drinkable. Our rooms were very comfortable, however, on the second stay we were in an adjoining type of room #1639 again, not what I would ever select as the neighbours were very loud. Lovely welcome gifts and cake for celebrations. Thank you, team, Bathroom with shower over bath which is fine the night light certainly a benefit for late night trips. I like the bench and shelf unit under the television as it affords more space for suitcases, always an issue when travelling as couple with two cases as there is ever only one stand in a room. The pool area was nice, could do with some umbrellas over some lounges and a few more lounges at pool level would not go astray. I add there are heaps up on a deck just adjacent to the pool. Breez bar service was excellent from Haris and later Stephanie on our later return visit. Level daily evening benefit was served in the Breez bar and not on the 17th floor lounge the food was limited compared to some hotels with an Exec offer. Would I stay here again in a heartbeat! Good value nice hotel in an excellent location, MRT, walks along the fabulous East Coast Parkland every day after breakfast, there is also some great bars and food offers within the parkland. Katong behind the hotel is another beautiful neighbourhood to explore. A big shout out to Maria at reception for her wonderful assistance during our stay and yes Maria the gown did shrink as advised by housekeeping 😊

Review for Hazirah and Haslinda - Wedding

We are beyond grateful for the both of them coordinating and making our special day - even special

They were incredibly organized, keeping everything on track, ensuring no detail was overlooked. They were always available to answer questions and provide guidance, making us feel supported throughout the entire process.

They did a fantastic job coordinating with all our stakeholders, ensuring our request were met, and executed seamlessly.

On the wedding day, we had an unusual request as we are allowed to check in to our room early. There was a renovation on going nearby, we texted Hazirah asking if they are able to do without the drilling. Immediately, the renovation stopped, we were able to rest. The precious rest were needed as we were awake since 4.30am (Chinese customary stuff ya)

They took their time to understand our vision and work tirelessly to bring it to life. My wedding was held on Saturday, the next day I texted Hazirah for enquiry, she still replied despite it was on a weekend.

We couldnt have asked for anyone better to guide us through this journey, truly unforgettable.

Review for Mike, Gabriel and Kit (OPS) - Wedding

Held my wedding over here on the 2nd Nov

I cant express enough how grateful I am for the incredible OPS team that handled our wedding held on 2nd Nov, (Benjamin and Joy's wedding), from start to finish, their professionalism and attention to detail made our special day truly unforgettable

The team was always answering our questions addressing our concerns, making the whole planning process smooth and stress-free. Kept us in the loop at every step and were proactive in suggestion and solutions

They ensured the timeline was adhered, perfectly i might add, i was able to relax, enjoy the day knowing that they have everything under control

From coordination with AV to making sure that we have our food 'dabao', it was evident that they cared deeply.

They truly made our day magical, and we couldn't have done it without them!

A very big thank you to...
