Lifestylemart @ SAFRA Punggol — Attraction in Singapore

Serving the nation with full of pride, and coming from a diversed unit, these visit was full of alienation.

UnWelcomed by blaring Chinese music. Asked Mr Melvin or Alvin who apprently was the store supervisor and was told that other stations didnt have proper signals. With 19 official english Radio station in Singapore, reinforced with streaming statios using wifi, I knew that it was self-serving lies to double down on such biased configuration. Morever, it was upsetting to see non-chinese staffs working with no or little choice but to passively entertain themselves with broadcast they are likely not to appreciate. Super damaging to mental well being and team dynamics.

A place that should be nostalgic with unbiased & diversed memories, transposed to be uninviting to people who carry strong sentiments towards shared value of these wonderful nation. Have written to the CEO as there was no other forum to voice- it will be heartening to see any changes...

Overall, I had an unpleasant experience at this store. I would advise others to always check their purchased items before leaving, as this is not a proper consumer retail store where items can be exchanged easily. I purchased the no. 4 rank and specifically asked for that item, but the staff gave me a different rank instead. When I returned to ask for an exchange, I was told that it was not possible and that I should have checked the item before leaving the store. This was frustrating as I bought a long list of items and was not shown the rank by the staff. As a result, I had to purchase another set and pay additional money as there was a quota. Do not step into the shop if you don't have a shopping list or confirmed purchases. It was not meant for window shopping. Was indirectly told off by the staff that the shop was crowded because there are many idling people stepping in the shop to enjoy the aircon. (FYI I entered at 8pm on a day which had rain earlier). Felt humiliated by the staff words.

The items are not fabulous cheap especially for the bags as compared to army market at Beach Road.

I rather made an effort to travel to Beach Road to purchase rather then get such humiliation again...
