Plaza Singapura is a gem in the heart of Orchard Road, offering a delightful shopping and entertainment experience for locals and tourists alike. With its rich history dating back to 1974, the mall has evolved beautifully over the years, blending modernity with its timeless charm.

Prime Location and Accessibility One of Plaza Singapura's standout features is its unbeatable location. Situated right on Orchard Road and seamlessly connected to Dhoby Ghaut MRT station, it is incredibly convenient to access. Whether you're arriving by train, bus, or car, getting to the mall is a breeze.

Diverse Shopping and Dining Options The mall is a haven for shoppers and food lovers alike. It houses an impressive variety of stores, from popular brands like Uniqlo, Daiso, and Muji to specialty shops like Spotlight. Family-Friendly Atmosphere Plaza Singapura is perfect for families. The mall offers kid-friendly amenities like nursing rooms and play areas, making it a comfortable space for parents with young children. The wide range of dining options ensures that even the pickiest eaters will find something they love.

Entertainment Galore For those seeking entertainment, Plaza Singapura does not disappoint. The Golden Village cinema on the top floor is perfect for movie buffs, while hobby shops and toy stores add an element of fun for kids and collectors. It’s a great place to unwind after a day of shopping.

Modern Design with Artistic Touches The mall's design is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Its wave-inspired façade and the colorful "Jelly Baby Family" sculptures by Mauro Peruchetti add a vibrant artistic flair that makes it stand out along Orchard Road.

Convenience at Its Best From groceries at Cold Storage to home essentials at Spotlight, Plaza Singapura caters to everyday needs while still offering plenty of opportunities for leisure and indulgence. Its layout is thoughtfully designed to make shopping easy and enjoyable.

Plaza Singapura Review

Date of Visit: 1 May 2025

Overview: Plaza Singapura is a well-established shopping mall located at the heart of Orchard Road in Singapore. Spanning nine levels, it offers a diverse mix of retail outlets, dining options, and entertainment facilities, catering to families, young adults, and everyday shoppers.

What I Liked: • Retail Variety: The mall houses a broad range of stores, including popular outlets like Daiso and Spotlight, providing everything from affordable household items to arts and crafts supplies. • Dining Options: An extensive selection of eateries is available, from quick bites in the basement food court to sit-down restaurants, ensuring a satisfying culinary experience for all tastes. • Entertainment: The Golden Village cineplex offers a comfortable movie-going experience with multiple screens showcasing the latest films. • Accessibility: Directly connected to Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station, which serves three major lines, the mall is easily accessible via public transportation. • Ambience: The mall maintains a clean and organized environment, making it pleasant to navigate and shop.

Areas for Improvement: • Store Uniqueness: While the mall offers a wide range of stores, some visitors have noted that the selection leans towards non-luxury brands, which might not appeal to those seeking high-end shopping experiences. • Crowd Management: Given its central location and popularity, the mall can become quite crowded during peak hours, which may affect the overall shopping experience.

Tips for Visitors: • Best Times to Visit: Weekday mornings or early afternoons are generally less crowded, providing a more relaxed shopping environment. • Must-Visit Stores: Don’t miss out on Daiso for affordable finds and Spotlight for a wide array of craft supplies. • Dining Recommendations: Explore the basement food court for a variety of local and international cuisines at reasonable prices.

Overall Impression: Plaza Singapura stands out as a convenient and comprehensive shopping destination in Singapore. Its strategic location, coupled with a diverse range of stores and dining options, makes it a go-to mall for both locals and tourists seeking a one-stop shopping...

The Plaza is truly the heart of the city, offering a vibrant and exciting shopping and entertainment experience. Having recently visited, I can confidently say that it is a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists alike.

The first thing that struck me about The Plaza is its impressive range of stores. From popular national brands to unique boutique shops, there is something for everyone. Whether you're on the hunt for fashion, electronics, homeware, or gifts, you'll find an abundance of options to satisfy your shopping desires.

The layout and design of The Plaza are both modern and inviting, creating a pleasant atmosphere to explore and indulge in retail therapy. The spacious and well-lit corridors make navigating the mall a breeze, and the comfortable seating areas provide a much-needed respite for weary shoppers.

In addition to its extensive shopping options, The Plaza boasts a fantastic food court and several dining establishments. I had the pleasure of sampling a variety of cuisines, ranging from local favorites to international delights. The quality and variety of food available exceeded my expectations, and the friendly staff made the dining experience even more enjoyable.

What sets The Plaza apart is its commitment to providing entertainment and events that cater to all ages. From live performances and community gatherings to seasonal festivities, there is always something happening to keep visitors engaged and entertained.

The Plaza's commitment to customer service is evident throughout the entire experience. The staff members are friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile to assist shoppers. Whether it's helping with store recommendations or providing directions, their warm and helpful demeanor enhances the overall shopping experience.

Parking at The Plaza is convenient, with ample spaces available. The well-maintained facilities and accessibility options make it easy for visitors of all abilities to navigate the mall comfortably.

Overall, The Plaza is a vibrant and well-rounded shopping destination that offers an array of stores, dining options, and entertainment. With its welcoming atmosphere, excellent customer service, and diverse range of offerings, it is undoubtedly a place that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a memorable...

Plaza Singapura is a good mall, with a varieties of fairly good eateries. I am sad that Mr Coconut has moved out but I like that there is a big Cold Storage there. However, I had a rude shock from one of the food vendors last night. Munchie Pancakes only had one side slice of their Original Peanut on the display shelf. As I prefer a centre piece, I asked the young man (not a big buy, slim and small frame lad) if he had anymore of the original as I prefer a centre piece. Very quickly, he said yes. Then he bent down a little, took a few minutes and presumably took it from a bottom shelf, placed a piece in their small paper bag and placed it in a plastic bag, all done away from my sight. I paid ($1.80) and walked away. When I got home, to my horror, the piece of pancake was burnt, badly burnt because it looked almost black on the surface. I didn't order charcoal, I ordered original. (If you look at the picture at their website, of their Peanut Original, the bottom slice, the colour is very light brown, somewhat pale). I tried eating it (as you can see from the picture). But the more I ate, the more uncomfortable I felt. Eating burnt food can help cause cancer. I know eating a few bites doesn't make a difference, but why do I want to add damage to my body? I also didn't want to have a sore throat the next day (and I did have a sore throat when I woke up this morning). I had to throw it away, I then decided to take a picture before throwing it in a bin. Well, he or someone else must have burnt a whole big pan of the original pancake. They had to keep it away from customers but instead of throwing it away, and to save cost, they decided to secretly sell them to customers. Unbeknownst to customers like me, I thought I was buying something edible. Just to confirm my suspicion that he was trying to hide it from me, normally, when I buy Munchie Pancakes from Nex, the cashier would always, always ask me if I need a plastic bag. This guy didn't ask at all. He just quietly made a double bag so I wouldn't discover the burnt pancake until I get home! How sneaky and unethical! I was there last night, 27 Aug, at about 7pm. So, when you are there to buy Munchie Pancakes, please make sure you check the pancake\s before you pay.

My favorite mall in the central, Plaza Sin is a vibrant and popular shopping mall located along Singapore’s Orchard Road, offering a wide range of retail, dining, and entertainment options. It caters to a diverse crowd, from families to young adults, making it a lively and dynamic shopping destination. The mall’s layout is convenient, with a good balance between high-end brands, mid-range stores, and local boutiques, ensuring there's something for everyone. The variety of dining options is impressive, ranging from casual food courts to specialty restaurants, providing a wide array of international and local cuisines. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or having a leisurely meal, there’s plenty to choose from. One of the mall’s highlights is its entertainment offerings. GV is a great spot to catch the latest movies, while the various arcades and activity centers provide fun for kids and adults alike. The integration of art and music-themed spaces also adds a creative touch to the shopping experience. However, the mall can get quite crowded, especially on weekends, which might detract from the overall experience. Navigating through the mall during peak hours can be a challenge, and finding seats at popular restaurants might require a wait. That said, its central location and connectivity via the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station make it easily accessible. Overall, Plaza Singapura remains a favorite shopping and entertainment hub with a broad appeal, offering an enjoyable mix of retail, dining, and leisure experiences. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the Orchard Road area.

I recently visited this Korean barbecue restaurant in Plaza Singapura and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food and service provided. The variety of meats offered for grilling was extensive, with choices ranging from marinated bulgogi to succulent pork belly. Each cut was fresh and expertly seasoned, resulting in a mouthwatering and authentic Korean barbecue experience. The staff were attentive and helpful, always ensuring that our grill was at the perfect temperature and offering recommendations for different meat pairings(especially to the Management Trainee, Annevia). The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with traditional Korean decor and comfortable seating arrangements. The atmosphere was lively and bustling, perfect for a casual meal with friends or a special occasion celebration. In addition to the delicious barbecue options, the restaurant also offered a range of traditional Korean side dishes and appetizers, all of which were equally delicious and well-prepared. I particularly enjoyed the kimchi and japchae, both of which complemented the main dishes perfectly. Overall, my experience at this restaurant was exceptional and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious dining experience in Singapore. The combination of delicious food, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere made for a memorable meal that I will definitely be returning for. Whether you are a fan of Korean cuisine or simply looking to try something new, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. And that’s on, periodt ! 💅🏻
