Compared to Mandai’s other parks, Rainforest Wild ASIA is by far the smallest in terms of its size and the variety of animals you can see in the park. But what it lacks in these aspects, it makes up with a unique ‘adventure’ experience offered through off-boardwalk forest trails that offer closer and unique encounters with the animals; state-of-the-art, spacious and naturalistic enclosures for the animals; and finally, the multiple free talks and tours provided by the parks’ professional staff throughout the day. Quick shoutout to Mr Ryan who did a fantastic job sharing about the sunbears on 25 June 2025! However, if you are a tourist who is pressed for time, you may want to consider one of the other daytime parks (Singapore Zoo, River Safari, or Bird Paradise) instead. Long review, more details below. The boardwalk offers the fastest route through the park. It is wheelchair-friendly and there are educational murals and information boards well-placed along the path. However, to unlock the true value of this park, I highly recommend the able-bodied to take on the forest trails, as these offer closer views of the enclosure and include an adventurous aspect. There are different trail difficulties based on obstacles such as river crossings and climbing over fallen logs. They warn of these at the start of each trail so you can decide if you and your peers are up for the challenge. Furthermore, there is an additional S$170++/pax caving experience or bungee jumping which you can opt for. It was out of our budget, but I think it would make for an even more memorable visit. Next, the enclosures are wide, open, and filled with flora and foliage. Although this meant it was a little challenging to spot a few animals, it not only ensured the animals’ welfare but also enriched visitors’ experience as we competed to see who could spot the animals first! I especially liked that there was a walking trail for the tiger alongside the humans’ forest trail too, though we didn’t get to see it using it as it was sunbathing and snoozing in the noon sun when we visited. Lastly, the rangers were knowledgeable during their tours and sharings. We learnt so much more about the zoo when we spoke with Mr Ryan at the sunbear feeding talk on 25 June 2025 early afternoon. His delivery of the contents was clear and educational, and he answered my questions perfectly, giving us precious insights into how the zoo cares for its animals. There were multiple talks throughout the day and we were able to come across and join them as we encountered them to learn more about the zoo and its wildlife.

Giving it a four due to the price, which the staff has no control over. Nonetheless, my experience was a 5! I visited with the intention of exploring the cavern, and it did not disappoint. I'm thankful to Syahida and Ash for the awesome guide and cave experience. It was saddening to hear their closing speech, asking for forgiveness in areas they felt they didn’t do well, and addressing misconceptions about Rainforest Wild ASIA. I beg to differ — they did an amazing job. I truly respect their commitment to safety before opening the attraction, during the experience, and even after closing the attraction. It’s not easy doing what they do. I can only imagine the challenges of dealing with difficult guests or managing expectations in larger groups. For the best cavern experience, small group will be great but it is really all about luck. I enjoyed a 'private session' with my husband and the pace and time were great! Before the cavern experience, we already purchased admission tickets to explored the beautiful rainforest. The weather helped too — it was drizzling, not scorching, so the trek was bearable compared to what others have shared. There are two walking options: * **Boardwalk** – suitable for families with children, elders, or anyone wanting an easier path. * **Forest Trail** – for those comfortable with mud, rocks, and walking among trees. Whichever you choose, dress appropriately! Patience, luck, and a keen eye are all you need to spot wildlife. I love that the animals are in a natural environment, not in enclosures like in zoos. They decide when and where they want to appear — and that’s how it should be. I'm lucky enough to spot tigers, sunbear, one tapir, deers, snakes, tortoises, some bird species, the huge crocodile. I would have loved to see foxes and macaques/any monkeys but I've no fate with them. The crocodile can jump out of the water. You can spot it on Sunday during feeding time. Not sure which other days they'll be feeding it. I think it would be a great sight to catch it jumping up. And yes, the cavern is 90% man-made, inspired by the ancient caves of Gunung Mulu. I think it's a fantastic educational space for both children and adults. If you are here for all the high elements and adventure, it is definitely worth to have those add-ons in your cart before checking out.

Rainforest Wild Asia is not a typical zoo anyone will expect, it's more like an adventure park. There are two different types of routes, the boardwalk path and the trekking path. Personally, I find the boardwalk path quite boring. You will be walking on the canopy layer boardwalk and looking down searching for animals. Depending on your luck, you may or may not see them. Unlike Mandai Zoo, animals are not in the exhibits for viewing, but instead you have to search and wait for them to appear. The trekking path is more interesting as you will be trekking on the rainforest dirt path. Be prepared to get your shoes wet and muddy. There are rocks, small streams and trees to mimick the rainforest underlayer. This path is not an easy path, I will not recommend elderly to take this path. Certain areas can be slippery. Generally, the whole park has a lot of benches for visitors to take a quick rest or light snack. There are also sheltered rest areas with fans. I am particularly impressed with the amount of restrooms and drinking water refills they have here. I think this is where Mandai Wildlife Reserves have done very well in all their parks. We had our lunch in Sentinel Foodhall. Quite disappointed with the quality of the food here, the price tag doesn't match the quality of the food. I think the park should consider having a fastfood stand here. But I will consider the Sentinel Foodhall to be a good air-conditioned rest area for visitors. Overall, I give Rainforest Wild Asia 3-stars because of the lack of animals spotting. Cavern caves looks quite beautiful, but we all know it's man-made. So, there is not much Wow factor to it. The park is actually very small, the only reason why it takes more than 1 hour to walk the park is because they have a lot of twist and turns on their boardwalk. There is no amphitheatre in the park, hence no animal shows. I do not think it justify the entrance fees despite the SG60 discount. If you are not here for the high intensity activities, with the price tag, I will recommend Mandai Zoo instead. I do not think I will revisit the park, at least for now.

Rainforest Wild Asia, which recently opened in March, is a beautiful park offering scenic landscapes and walks, close encounters to various animals, various adventures and thrilling activities, as well as a team of friendly and highly trained staff - who not only ensure the utmost safety is taken in any activity, but many of whom have conservation /zookeeper/UN backgrounds.

The website had an amazing opening deal for tourists - 50% off the Wild Cavern Adventure bundle which includes admission to the park, as well as ticket for the Wild Cavern Adventure - a 3 hour tour experience with dedicated guides to educate as well as take your through a unique and otherwise inaccessible experience emulating caving.

We booked in for the 9:30am session and arrived to the park 15 minutes prior (as was required for the adventure). We thought you had to walk through the entire park to the cavern area, only to find out the entrance for the experience is outside the front entry gates. This meant we ended up late for the session but the team were super accommodating and were able to catch us up with the group (which ended up being small and intimate, luckily for us).

Our guides Mike and Sam were amazing - so informative and explained to us cave habitats, their formations, creatures and experiences. The cavern area is largely inside and air-conditioned so highly recommend for the afternoon when you want to escape the Singapore heat! As for the caving experience, after various safety briefings, checks and introductory training, the team take you into the cave where you climb through low light, traverse corridors and across a 5m chasm, as well as abseil down a 10m drop. They also give you the opportunity to adventure through a certain tunnel in complete darkness (although remember to turn off the display on your smart watch if you opt into this!).

The team provide phone pouches to loan dor the experience and help you capture imagery (and will airdrop to fellow iphone users) throughout the experience. The bundle also includes a few complimentary images for digital, but you can opt to print them for a fee. Overall, my boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the Wild Cavern Adventure experience and highly recommend it to all visitors. It may be difficult for those who get claustrophobic, however, I would say a fear of heights is not an issue as often it is too dark to see how high a drop is.

As for Rainforest Wild Asia itself, the landscapes are so carefully tendered, with gardeners often seen on-site ensuring each enclosure is perfectly taken care of. The wooden walkways are stunning, and for the forest paths, they have installed brushes to remove any mud from your shoes at the base of each staircase, which is such a thoughtful touch for the guest experience. We were able to see all animals around the park when we visited - for the animals who sleep/hide during peak heat, I recommend asking a worker where the animal is situated because they often know and can help you spot it (we almost missed a tiger sleeping between trees)!

The facilities on-site have also considered the guest experience with various clean toilets around the park, water refill stations, 4x food and beverage locations around for replenishment (or to replenish yourself with aircon), signage and maps, misting fans and more.

There are also additional adventure experiences you can do including the AIA vitality bounce and canopy jump - both require an additional fee. Would recommend the canopy jump for thrill seekers as you can do either a 13m or 20m jump!

If it wasn’t so hot, we would have loved to try the Wild Apex Adventure along the Karsts as it looks more thrilling than the cavern experience and will let you feel close to the Francois Langurs nearby.

Overall, highly recommend visiting Rainforest Wild Asia. Out of all the Mandai parks, this and Night Safari have been our favourites by far (although they are all amazing and...

This is the 2nd time I visited the latest Park. It was so so so great!!!!

I was there with my friend. We took Grab but you can also use public transportation: Get to Khatib MRT station Then there will be a shuttle bus taking you directly to the Rain Forest (and Bird Paradise) directly. *I don't if there is a charge from Khatib to the park, but on the way back, the charge is $2.50nett per person.

1/ I recommend trying the Cave Experience - Wild Cavern - a replica of the Mulu Cave in Malaysia. It was great for me but I wish the route could be longer a little bit hahaha.

Kindly be advised that the cave is not for those who have: Acrophobia (Height) Claustrophobia (Small Space) Nyctophobia (Darkness) Basophobia (Falling)

The reasons are: It will be very dark at some points so make sure that you step/walk carefully You will have a chance to experience a short zipline, and to walk down a deep pit by yourself

To me, I have never experienced any caves before, so it was very interesting for me and I enjoyed it a lot. Thanks to this experience, I have a huge motivation to go to Mulu Cave.

*Notes: I strongly recommend wearing long sleves and long pants Girls, make sure that your hair is tied into a neat bun Go to the restroom and drink water before starting the journey There will be lockers so don't worry, you can carry your big totes as usual

(+) The staff there are super friendly, especially Nesh and Mac. They have a huge sense of humor just like my long lost friends. They put effort in checking all safety equipment and even cross checking to make sure It was raining so my group only have 6 pax and it was not hot as well Well designed route, it seemed like very fast but it took us almost 2 hours Hairnets and gloves are provided. You can bring home the gloves too.

(-) Due to raining, we cannot take the outdoor route to the cave entrance. We had to take the normal staircase. No drinking fountains and cannot carry water so I wish Mandai could add somefountains along the way, especially for those who are tired and need to rest a little bit before continue.

Yep, so far so good!!!

2/ Oh I also attended the Canopy Jump. Thank you Lily and team for always smiling ans assisting us even it was raining.

If you buy the bundle ticket with Cave Experience, the Canopy Jump will have a 50% discount. I did not see this in the website but when I asked the staff there, he told me to go down and purchased directly.

There are two options for you: 13 meters 20 meters I chose the 20 meters one. It was not as scary as bungee jumping because you will land slowly and touch down with your feet, not going up again like bungee.

3/ Apart from this, you can observe animals in a closer distance (like the pictures of the Red Shanked Douc Langur that I took).

In general, I love it. I will definitely bring my friends back here and yes, to experience the Wild...

Booking: Mandai Wildlife Reserve website Day: 12 May, Monday Add-on: Wild Cavern Adventure (WCA) Ate at: Sentinel Foodhall

I held onto my scepticism until we went for our briefing with the WCA crew. Our earlier WCA booking took precedence over our main entrance timeslot so that was great 😆

Rainforest Wild ASIA is incredibly fortunate to have Jey, Lutfil, Shikin, Jax, Salleh and Gabrielle on their team. Jey and Lutfil did a great job leading our group of 8 on the WCA, supported by Shikin, Jax and Salleh who helped out at various points on the adventure.

Jey and Lutfil led our group on the Wild Cavern Adventure (WCA) responsibly, with a light-hearted take on the tour. They made learning about geological miracles and cave fauna, so fun and full of amazement.

WCA has 3 high elements activities, which Jey and Lutfil took charge of with enthusiasm and meticulous attention to safety. As a person with a touch of acrophobia, I approached each one with shaky nerves, but the crew made us feel at ease with their good natured humour. There was a lightning risk alert when we started, but the crew quickly pivoted to conducting our training indoors instead. When the warning was off, they put us back on track smoothly 😊

After the WCA, we continued on the paths around the Rainforest Wild ASIA park. We loved being able to spot up close the huuuumongous saltwater croc, a bat (who made a home in the Cavern 🥹), a trio of beautiful douc langurs, the Malayan tiger and the adorable red dholes chilling out.

+/- Toilets: clean and well-maintained, but rather spread out haha. In one of the female toilets, one of the automatic sinks kept going off, even though nobody was anywhere near it. 🫠🥹

+/- Food-wise: Honestly, very disappointed that none of the stalls at Sentinel Foodhall had halal certification. A Muslim staff however, assured us that the food was prepared using halal ingredients, except that the foodhall served alcoholic beverages. We had food from the Thai-Viet stall. The seafood tom yum was delectable, but only soup! I had expected it to be served with noodles 🫠😂

When we had made our way back to the park entrance, it was minutes to closing time. Suddenly, we remembered we had not taken a photo at the Oculus, so we hot-footed our way through the "short-cuts"....The photo spot was already cordoned off, so we made do with a few selfies. Just then, Gabrielle v sweetly offered to take a few photos, even guiding us to a spot with better lighting.

Overall, I would recommend Rainforest Wild ASIA to everyone; families, seniors, couples, and friend group outings. We saw 1-2 wheelchair bound visitors as well, but cannot comment if they found it a friendly experience...However, we did observe that the main paths were smooth, wide and only a...
