My family and I have been patronising this outlet for many years now, on average once a month or so, for our groceries and household products stock up. The customer service is generally alright, I would say that I haven’t faced any extremely rude staff member or anything of that sort. Yesterday’s incident though, left an impression on us. We shopped for our groceries, as usual, and went for dinner at the food court right next to it. We went back to get some more groceries and this time round we were served by this Chinese lady cashier who looked to be a foreigner. This happened at about 6:30pm. It was the counter at the first lane nearest to the main entrance (not the one linked to the food court). The name on her name tag was Zhao Chang Hong. She’s of average height, sporting a bun hairstyle. Throughout the entire payment process, she was condescending to my mum and when she asked for her payment method, my mum replied saying that she was using cash. The cashier responded with a loud sigh and handed the payment chit to her to proceed to the self payment kiosk. When she handed it to my mum, she held the chit between her index and middle finger, an unspoken way of saying that she is unhappy with us and it’s also an extremely rude condescending body language. I believe no one would like to be treated that way. Not even a thank you after the transaction as well.

TLDR: Chinese (most likely PRC) cashier whose name is Zhao Chang Hong in Chinese characters. Standing at an average height (estimated to be between 161-163cm), sporting a bun hairstyle. Condescending and extremely bad attitude towards customers, kindly avoid her if you do not want a bad experience

Edit: after sending in my complaint, I received an auto generated message stating that it ''will be reviewed within 4 working days.'', this was sent on 2 Mar, and it's already 18 Mar today. No point sending feedback to them, as they will not respond at all, it's simply lip service. Not sure if it's because the amount on the receipt is too small 🤭🤭 but this was added on, our initial receipt totaled to...

nice place to shop, take your friends and family there, they will enjoy the shopping. open for all. can buy many items. The shoppers are most odd, it's as if they see pizza, ice-cream and staff as much the same... products, things to acquire and the means to acquire them. It's a disconnect of sorts, a brain-blip. If these people met the cashier at a barbecue they'd greet them, ask about their kids, enquire after their health and make jokes... but here there's a coldness, a rudeness that comes of seeing them in the same way...

When comes to dairy products, we usually finish them shortly after our purchase. We bought a bundle pack of cheese and open up the secondary packaging 3 days later. To our horror, the item was manufactured nearly 1 year ago and it is obviously expired. For a renowned supermarket I really don't expect to be buying old expired and this is really disgusting. The butter was also old stock that is soon to expire yet they say I cant refund it because it is not expired yet. If you need freshness, this supermarket is...

Large supermarket with fresh produces to electrical stuff such as fans etc. Live fishes available with shell sea food such as venus clams, lobsters, crabs. In the morning, butcher will be around to cut up freshly delivered pork. Attached side is a air conditioned food court with outdoor seats available. Place is wheelchair accessible with public toilets. No WiFi coverage. Building itself is rather old, indoor condition looked good.

Late night staff got attitude problems. The aunty just ignore us and we ask questions also no answer. Throw our item everywhere when payment. Free items never give , not sure if no stock already or the aunty just don’t like us ,Beware of this crazy aunty!!! (cashier- ER Geok Tin)
