TL;DR

This is a wonderful location to learn to Ski and Snowboard. The workshop helps anyone they can of free. The food is above par and suprisingly filling.

GOODS: This mountain is mainly used as a training spot for people learning to start skiing and snowboarding. There is also a small jump spot that has several large jumps, a few grid rails, some very small bumps, and a few spots with VERY steep down hill sections. The main hills are fairly easy to ski and are really great for teaching newer skies. The lifts are fairly quick and not too crowded for most of the days. There is a large amount of people at the very start of the day (8-9) but people spred out fast. There are two lifts, with the "harder" hill ski lift nearly always having a very short line. The mountains connect in a few ways, so I would recommend taking the ski lift with the fewest people and just skiing over to the slope you want. The main lodge is very small, but offers inexpensive food and great shop help. There isn't much sitting and you need to leave most of to your supplies in your car. However, the parking lot is right next to the lodge, so it is very easy to walk to your car.

BADS: The mountains are very small and there are fairly quick. If you are trying to learn to ski jumps and go down quicker, you can learn those skills here, but there are only a few spots. It can be hard skiing around some of the kids learning. Also, since the lodge is small, there isn't much you can buy from them if you forget anything. Finally, currently in 2021, they dont have any snowboarding equipment to rent, so you will either need to bring your own, rent from the place across the street, or find a location in Reno. They do have a good amount of ski rentals though.
