Šútovský waterfall — Attraction in Šútovo

There is a 8.5 km walk around. Very nice trip along the river with really great views all the way. The waterfall itself is pretty regular one, beautiful but not something exceptional. After the first kilometer of the way there is a korchma/pub/house with hot and cold drinks and snacks to eat, also very nice. The parking is for payment about 3€ or so. Beautiful waterfall and surrounding. About 40m high waterfall when you reach the point. Around 1 hour walk up hill, 45 min down hill.

Not appropriate for kids trolleys or wheelchairs. There is a bar at appr. 15 min walk from parking. That you can access with trolleys / wheelchairs.

Vybrala som sa s 3 deťmi vo veku takmer 3, 6 a 9 rokov, všetci boli spokojní a vládali úplne v pohode, malého som kde tu pomiešame na rukách, ale to hlavne kvôli niektorým miestam, kde krížom trasy tiekla voda a cesta bola rozmočená. Dlho sa ide po asfaltke, potom začína miestami dost kamenistá cesta. My barefootovci sme to dost cítili 😀

Píšem hlavne rodičom detí, keďže časová náročnosť je pre dospelých možno hodina hore a 45min dole, ako som sa dočítala, ALE nám to trvalo aj s častým fotením a obzeraním chrobákov, slimákov a skál 4 hodiny 😀

Samotný vodopád sa im páčil, väčšia motivácia boli však wafle, ktoré mali sľúbené 😅 Ja som na to nemyslela, že z vodopádu odfrkuje voda, takže ak chcete ist blízko, hodí sa niečo nepremokavé. V lese je aj dosť zima, kraťasky nie sú ok. (Pozn. pre príležitostných turistov). Celá trasa je prechádzka, nie sú žiadne prekážky (až na pár padnutých stromov, ktoré deti bavili ako preliezky).
