The tourist routes got all the signs with different colours so easy to follow the choosed one.

We did the trip from Zádiel along the valley. Approximately 3km from the village you can find a lovely "pub" with a friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Than you can go up to the hill through the "castle" which really worth the visit. From the castle you get an easy access to return back to Turna ~20-30min.

If you choose this way the hole trip takes around 5-6 hours and 16,8km.

With a medium strength it's easy to complete but not impossible to do it with elderly people and children.

The only thing is bear in mind the rocky surface towards the castle which in my opinion is the "hardest" part of the trip!

Just take your time and no rush at all!!

Have a...

Visit the Canyon of Zádiel or the Waterfalls of Háj for a half-day hiking trip. You can visit the caves of Gombasek, Domica, Ochtina, Jasov, Krasna Horka if you wish to explore the underground world. There is also an ice cave near the village of Silica where you can watch ice formations even during summer. The great plateaus of Silická Planina, Plesivecká Planina, Jasovská Planina, Koniarska Planina and Horny Vrch offer long hiking and biking routes with many interesting places. There are also several educational trails located in the park. You can also visit the highest waterfall of this mountain range in the middle of the...

Not typical tourists destination, therefore not that busy. Beautiful nature, small picturesque villages and lots of historical castles or just ruins of old castles. Try to pick a smaller back country roads and you will be rewarded. There are also many caves with access for tourists.

Świetny pomysł na wycieczkę z rodziną. 2 wersje krótsza i nieco uboższa (ale wciąż warto) samą doliną (asfalt-wózki, rowery) do 100 minut w obydwie strony. Piękne okazy starych jaworów, buków, kwiatów i lokalnej roślinności. Druga nieco ambitniejsza wiedzie puszczą bukową i górą planinami(łąkami). Okazy dębów, buków, leszczyny, głogu. Można spostrzec sarny, ślimaki winniczki, jaszczurki zielone (nie występujące w Polsce) i owce. Uwaga na wystające kamienie (ostańce) na szlaku. Szlak dobrze oznaczony. Z góry zapierający dech widok na całą dolinę i zachodnią ścianę wąwozu z charakterystycznymi skalnymi ścianami przecinanymi pionowo zielenią. Parking przed wjazdem w maju 2019 bezpłatny.
